GOLDEN RULES FOR WEALTH AND SUCCESS

Today, when I re-read the notes in the book Think and Grow Rich from 11 years ago. Author Napoleon Hill called it the Golden Rule for Wealth and Success. I have optimized those notes as follows: Napoleon Hill's golden rule in building habits can be summarized as follows:

  1. Form a clear mindset before taking action When starting to form a new habit, it is important to understand yourself clearly, including your personality, thoughts, and actions. This helps shape the next steps and avoid confusion.

  2. Focus intensely on the new habit . When you are forming a new habit, make an effort to eliminate thoughts or actions related to the old habit. This helps your mind focus only on practicing and maintaining the new habit.

  3. Practice consistently over a long period of time Practice new habits whenever you have the chance. New habits need to be practiced consistently to become a natural part of your daily life.

  4. Learn to resist old habits Each time you successfully resist falling back into an old habit, you become stronger and more determined. This makes it easier for you to face the challenge the next time.

These principles emphasize the importance of understanding your personal goals, maintaining focus and perseverance, and developing self-control to achieve long-term success.

When I reread these notes, I noticed that a book written in 1937 has similarities with a bestseller in recent years, Atomic Habits.

Both books share details about how habit building is the core of personal development and career success. Atomic habits not only has similar content to Think grow rich but also has many methods that have been scientifically proven to be effective. An interesting thing is that for a long time, many readers thought that Think grow rich was just self-help and not practical. Napoleon Hill emphasized the power of habits in shaping success. His advice was not only drawn from the 500 most successful people of his time, but also continues to resonate today when emphasizing that all great achievements come from building and maintaining discipline. Especially in the era of digitalization and increasingly developing artificial intelligence, improving personal skills and maintaining focus is the key to not only keeping up but also leading in all fields. And this is what I have practiced and learned after the process of building habits based on the golden principle that Napoleon Hill shared. Hill points out that the first step in forming a new habit is to be clear about your personality, thoughts, and actions. When you start your day, remember that every action you take should be aimed at creating a foundation for a positive habit that will support your career and life. I always spend a lot of time reading and exercising. This is not only a way to relax but also part of my personal development strategy, helping me to constantly strive and improve every day. Next is to focus on your goal. While you are building a new habit, try to immediately eliminate thoughts that remind you of your old habits. This requires you to be highly focused and always remind yourself of the end goal. For example, when I work at a coffee shop, I not only observe but also learn from the people around me to motivate myself to move forward. The third step is to understand the importance of continuously practicing and implementing new habits whenever possible. In a world where competition is constantly increasing, individuals who take advantage of every opportunity to learn and apply new knowledge will always have an advantage over others. Persistence not only helps us overcome difficult times but is also a decisive factor in maintaining motivation and pushing our careers further. Finally, you must recognize temptation and the need to persevere against the urge to return to old habits. Each time you overcome temptation, you become stronger and more determined. In the age of artificial intelligence and machines, we not only need to overcome common challenges but also face and adapt to remarkable changes in technology and thinking. Discipline, perseverance and the ability to focus are not only qualities that successful people in the past had. These are essential elements for anyone who wants to lead in the modern world, where rapid technological developments require constant learning and adaptation. If you want to be rich and successful, first make yourself worthy of it. No success comes by accident, but is the result of careful planning, discipline and constant effort. Remember, every day you choose to spend your time building and practicing habits
