Here’s what you need to know in a nutshell, for now.

AstroChimpz (by Studio Kulture) is among the first art & story-led IPs on BTC — coming soon as Bitcoin Ordinals.

As seasoned brand builders and art entrepreneurs, our big vision is to bring the AstroChimpz to Web3 and craft it into a one-of-a-kind, community-focused media & entertainment brand. The AstroChimpz Web3 story kicks off with Episode 1 — ‘Escape to Chimpzville’.

AstroChimpz: How do I join?

As we build up to a collector community we will launch collections first as Bitcoin Ordinals (PFPs).  If you own an Astro Ordinal, you’ll have the keys to the AstroChimpz world.

Launch Plan: When do the Collections drop?

AstroChimpz will launch with Astro Ordinals in 2 drops:

Drop 1  (June):
Astro Ordinals OGs (only key characters from the story)

Drop 2 (soon after):
Astro Ordinals (all characters from the story)

The Backstory: Who are these chimpz?

Rewind to many years ago on Planet Earth, a group of extraordinarily intelligent chimps stumbled upon a mysterious rocket kit and visual assembly manual. They cracked it soon enough and set off into the unknown, landing in Chimpzville.

Now, as AstroChimpz, they have returned - briefly. Their mission: To rescue Earth chimps from extinction.

What’s to come will knock your moon boots off. Get on board!

The Story: What’s it all about?

Now that you’re in, buckle up for Episode 1: Escape to Chimpzville.

The rescue mission is underway — on order by the Intergalactic Federation of Chimps — and led by the galaxy’s finest. Every scene reveals adventures, twists and more. As the chimpz find their way to their secret departure destination to escape their inevitable fate on earth. Next stop is planet Chimpzville, where their quest to the awakening will begin.

Being a character-driven story, you’ll soon meet the AstroChimpz characters, a motley crew of experimentalists and seekers.

The Vision: What’s the long-term plan?

Being an art & story-led IP, we consider what you own as a piece of art with value unto itself. Be it our PFPs or comic book scenes, everything has been imagined, created and hand-drawn by established artists.

As the community builds, we’ll evolve our roadmap - our vision includes AR Mascots, vinyl toys, comic books, space gear and even an animated trailer.

The Chain: Why BTC?

It’s the OG crypto, so why not?! The longevity, credibility and leadership of Bitcoin is undisputed. To have access to Bitcoin collectors, the trailblazers of crypto, is huge for us. We are also early in the ordinals game and excited by its possibilities and the future of Web 3.

To be able to host our art directly on to the BTC Chain through inscriptions is a dream unto itself. It will forever live on the chain - immutable. We look forward to building a community of engaged Bitcoin fans who value art, storytelling and compelling characters.

The Team: Who are they?

Founders

Creative duo Arjun and Jas Charanjiva have been following the NFT space since March 2021 and began work on AstroChimpz in 2022.

Arjun managed brands at Mars (USA). Led award-winning campaigns (SNICKERS , Combos & M&M's). Repositioned M&M’s from Color to Fun & introduced M&M avatars. Headed the Mars India chocolate business before becoming a creative entrepreneur. Founded Kulture Shop (art/lifestyle brand) - featured by BBC, AD, Rolling Stone.

Jas worked in advertising (SF) & entertainment marketing (NYC). One of India’s prominent street artists, globally recognized street artist, known for her viral art IP aka the Pink Lady. Collaborated with many top brands (adidas Originals,Vans,Apple Music, etc). Featured by Vogue, NPR, MTV, etc.
