Woj previously led Mazury, a platform for hiring and getting a job using your onchain credentials. His latest project is Supercast, a Farcaster client focused on productivity for power users.

As a software engineer, he realized that his Bitcoin on Coinbase wasn’t really his. Because Bitcoin wallets weren’t too good, he eventually ended up in the Ethereum world.

His first self-custody experience was wildly empowering. However, Woj believes it’s hard to get excited about self-custody.

“You either need to be a tech or freedom nerd to be ever excited about self-custody,” said Woj.

Pretty quickly, he started building in the space.

His first project was Mazury. The idea behind it was that you could use onchain activity to improve hiring. Coming from a freelancer/software agency background, Woj always faced the challenge of proving his skills online and also discovering talent on the internet.

Woj’s latest project is Supercast, a client for Farcaster.

“Farcaster protocol is a very elegant design of a social media that is not controlled by anyone. That cannot be acquired or censored or deleted on a whim. In my opinion, it’s absolutely the best design of a social network that humanity has came up with so far.”

Right now, Farcaster is a small community of founders, crypto people, and developers.

After Farcaster went permissionless, Woj decided to build a client for power users. The great thing about building web3 social is that you don’t need any API permissions — it’s all open.
