GossipProtocol is an exercise in incubating a brand worthy of the mainstream internet, on web3 social. Disproving the notion that by utilizing crypto rails you forfeit all distribution, we will prove firsthand the power of leveraging web3 native tools to deliver high quality, entertaining content that can break free of the crypto bubble.

GP will make its home on both web2 and decentralised socials as a series of campaigns, beginning with a ‘boots on the ground’ short form content campaigns at Berlin Blockchain Week and EthGlobal NYC where we will film and then drop “The Exit Strategy”, an in-person video podcast that goes against the interview meta.

Current crypto related content is either too technical heavy or bro-oriented and Gossip Protocol will show, rather than tell, there is opportunity for niche crypto-focused content with a lighter edge to meet experts where they are, in a form you’d be comfortable sending your normie friends. We need to level up our content to be digestible and approachable and not just through conference panels and recorded zoom calls.

Despite the large amount of content being created *about* web3, almost all of it exists on legacy platforms. If we won’t use our own tools, why should anyone else? We believe the only way to learn how to use these tools is to use them ourselves to create unforgettable experiences, the good, the bad and the onchain.

This isn’t just about highlighting conversations about payment for content creators, data and ownership, but also about sharing the stories and vision of the real people behind the technology we’ll use to traverse into the new internet.
