DAO Governance Model

1.Proposal Process Overview

IERC DAO uses proposals to make decisions and adjust strategies. These proposals may originate formally or informally. Informal discussions typically occur on Telegram or Discord. If these discussions lead to the need for a formal proposal, a committee member should post the proposal as an issue on GitHub to gather community input. These initial proposals undergo refinement based on received feedback from the community members pulling out requests until they are ready to proceed. At this stage, the proposal on GitHub becomes the final version, with further edits restricted. Proposals requiring structured governance must be submitted to Snapshot (on-chain voting) for a formal vote by the $ethi holders or stakers.

After the results of the votings, if a proposal receives a majority vote in favor, it is considered approved and moves forward for implementation. On the other hand, if a proposal fails to receive enough support, it is rejected, and the decision-making process continues with other proposals.

Once a proposal is approved, the IERC DAO takes action to implement the proposed changes or strategies. This may involve development work, updates, or any other actions required to bring the proposal to fruition. Community members can monitor and keep engaging in the forum throughout the entire proposal implementation process by "pulling requests" on GitHub.

1.1 Proposal Creation via GitHub

How will committee members submit proposals? a.Select repository - "IERC DAO"

b.Click on the "Issue" tab and select a new issue - Briefly describe the idea of the proposal/ mistake that needs to be reported.

c.Create a formal proposal based on the proposal template

1.2 Voting via Snapshot

a.Voting rule: one-member, one-vote, meaning each member has equal voting power regardless of their stake or contribution.

b.Voting rights: all $ethi holders (including stakers)

c.After the voting process, the proposal details, including the project budget, duration, and voters, will be formed.

1.3 In Action

Depending on the nature of the proposal, the implementation phase may involve various tasks and actions. The implementation phase is a critical step in the proposal process as it brings the approved changes into action.

2.IERC DAO Stakeholders

Committee Members

Committee Members are individuals who resonate with the mission and vision of IERC DAO and wish to contribute. They have access to IERC DAO's open activities and discussions on platforms like Discord and Telegram. These members can engage with the DAO by participating in bounties and other opportunities and possessing governance rights.

Community Members

Community Members are individuals who hold IERC DAO's inscription, $ethi. These inscriptions can be obtained through financial contributions or active involvement in the DAO's activities. Inscription holders enjoy comprehensive governance rights, allowing them to participate in decision-making processes via informal channels like Discord and Telegram, as well as formal inscription-based voting procedures such as Snapshot.

Service Providers

Service providers engaged by IERC DAO include professionals offering a range of services such as technical development, NFT development, and more. Compensation for these services may be provided in stablecoins, $ethi tokens, or a combination thereof, with terms decided on a case-by-case basis.

3.Staking as Rewards

A dedicated staking pool will be opened for DAO members on https://app.ierc20.com/PoW-DPoS, allowing participants to stake $ethi and earn more DPoS points. Inscriptions staked will be locked for a period ranging from 3 to 12 months, offering potential annual yields. Holders will receive their staking rewards at 30-day intervals starting from the time they initiate their staking.
