At last week’s OWF’s spotlight, we revealed and present to the community that 4EVERLAND will integrate Arweave as a storage aggregator, as a bridger, and as a more comprehensive infrastructure to provide devs with a broader range of services. Also empowering two outstanding ecosystems.

Why us, 4EVERLAND decide to make this?

4EVERLAND started with IPFS integration, we built 4EVERLAND’s IPFS swarm node on consesnsus mechanism of PoSC (proof of storage challenge), We optimized the IPFS gateway and access experience to better serve devs and built a variety of modular tools. After 1 year develpment, 4EVERLAND built a good IPFS foundation and we are proud that our ‘Hosting’ and ‘Bucket’ services have served thousands of developers.

Arweave is a very promising and growing storage ecosystem.

Back in 2019, Arweave team had posted a plan in blog to build a bridge between IPFS and Arweave to provide more diverse services for developers.

“It is integration like these that will form the foundations of the future open, decentralised web and its surrounding ecosystem” —— From the blog.

That’s really make sense!

But the lack of incentive for Arweave nodes to actively synchronize Arweave data to IPFS does not make it easy for Arweave to accomplish such an idea unilaterally.

But with 4EVERLAND, we can make it!

Our IPFS swarm node will have enough power to synchronize data on Arweave to IPFS.

How we make it?

We will integrate Arweaave in to our ‘Bucket’, as with IPFS, be the underlying protocol for our storage part to bring an unprecedented service to the industry.

We‘ll let users and devs upload their files and metadata to Arweave and IPFS directly. And the uploaded files can be synchronized between two storage layers.

Beyond that, we will provide a file synchronization service based on CID and Arhash. For example, you use Pinata cloud to pin your files on IPFS, you have a need to sync them to Arweave. In the progress on Bucket, you don’t need uoload the files to 4EVERLAND, just need the CID of the files to implement it. Vice versa.

In addition, 4EVERLAND provides a global accelerated gateway for all file access and transfer, making the experience faster and smoother.

S3 compatible, Login by Wallet.

Meanwhile, Bucket is fully compatible with S3, and our user system is built on Web3. We adapt to most of the storage layer APIs and SDKs on the market. This makes ‘Bucket’ easier for devs and Dapps to integrate and seamlessly migrate from centralize storage to Arweave or IPFS.

Innovation Of Billing

After integration with Arweave, there will be two sotage space dashboard for our users: IPFS and Arweave.

We are planing to provide each user free 1G IPFS space and 100M Arweave storage space for better experience ‘Bucket’ and encourage people choose decentralized storage way to host their files and metadata. And we set sponsorship program for our outstanding users and partners.

And we replace the logic ‘pay per upload’ to ‘pay for storage space’ and will adapt multiple payment options. This will more user-friendly and more serviceable for users who normally use such services.

And in the future, we will provide users with a solution based on 4EVER-governance to obtain the resources, staking, voting, proposal, etc. Contribute to earn, that’s Web3!
