A long overdue post

Ammalgam has some big news coming and it led me to dust the cobwebs off our Mirror account. Back in November of 2023, I started to take the updates I regularly shared with investors and also share them publicly on our website. I unfortunately never thought to share them here. I am sorry to anyone who decided to subscribe and is just now seeing an update from us. We have been busy building and not sharing across all of our channels efficiently. So here is a link to eight months of updates in one. I am going to start making these updates both in our docs and on Mirrors.

• Still building in public, come check it out.

• So close to audits, but still navigating the last bits of complexity.

May 2024 tl;dr

• Hired 2 more devs to help accelerate finishing up

• Developed GTM strategy, preparing for execution

April 2024 tl;dr

• Interviewing a number of folks for the Front-end devs to help maintain momentum after pushing most of the current team to the contract side.

• Contract work is the main priority and the resources and attention have been focused to execute.

• Planning to announce the raise once we are in audits.

• Built content calendar for social to help build organic socials growth.

• Defined Ammalgam's Vision, Mission, and Values.

March 2024 tl;dr

• Closed Seed Round

• Expanded contract team from 1 - 4 engineers

• Actively recruiting another Front-End Dev & expanding GTM team

February 2024 tl;dr

• Hired a solidity developer

• Completed an audit of the draft white paper with ChainSecurity

• 2.75m in commitments, aiming to close the round this month

January 2024 tl;dr

• Now at 2.1M in commitments for seed round

• Drafted white paper, reviewing with ChainSecurity next week

• Making progress on interest logic, velocity will accelerate once I am able to focus on development again

• Conducting UX interviews with target users

• Networking with protocols that could potentially build vaults with Ammalgam

• Announced a side event at EthDenver

December 2023 tl;dr

• Alpha DApp Release, Please retweet!

• Improved design eliminates need for price dependent liquidations

• Seed round momentum completely changed tides, 1.2M in commitments

• Doubled twitter followers with Kain’s help!

November 2023 tl;dr

• We spiffed up and are planning on publicly announcing our docs next week.

• Landing page update in time for documentation announcement.

• We are targeting publicly sharing and announcing our dApp before the end of the year.

• Added ERC-4626 interface to our tokens, a first step in adding interest rate logic.

• Slow fundraising allowed me to dive into the code and making a huge dent in wrapping up no oracle work.

• We are following advisement from our lawyers to set up a legal entity in the Cayman Islands.
