The article from an old fat degen - SuiMo
March 18th, 2023

Hello, my dears. This is an old, fat, stinky crypto degen writing to you. After I shared with you my result on Arbitrum airdrop, I realized that you are interested in the topic of airdrops. I've been in the crypto world for a long time and I'm ready to share my observations with you and write a series of articles on the projects I myself participate in and wait for drops from them.

Also, if you would be interested in an article on multi-accounts in crypto, I will be happy to write it for you.

I participated in different projects and got many different tokens which changed my life, but there is a lot of scam in crypto and only personal experience will teach you to pay attention to the right projects. My main parameters for paying attention to projects - there are VCs you can trust, if it is not a separate blockchain/L2 it is better if there is a small community. Then the probability that you will be given a lot of tokens is much higher. My examples are Ribbon Finance and Biconomy. Where tens of thousands of dollars were given for a few simple actions. But there are a lot of such examples in crypto, and today I want to tell you about two of them where I take part. I also like to participate in non-obvious projects that few people know about for the same reason. Also according to my observation projects (not blockchain/L2) which work in etherium network bring big profit as their community spent big money for gas

The first project I want to share with you today is Mavick Protocol. They raised $9 million from good venture capitalists. The leading investor is Pantera Capital. A project doesn't have to raise huge money to make its community rich (remember Blur, Ribbon Finance)

In the hunt for MAV tokens, I would take the following steps

  1. I would buy them OG NFT - Maverick MAVA. Floor is now 10 Matics.

  2. Would go to their Discord and in the #collaboration-join channel connect my wallet and get an OG role for keeping their Maverick MAVA NFT in my wallet. Although the NFT is over 12k and the OG role has only 1159 people

  3. I would like to participate in the voting. Only people who have a Maverick MAVA NFT can vote. You know projects love those community members who vote.

  4. Would put some money in the liquidity pool. Usually the amount of money and time makes a difference here

  5. I would make some token exchanges on their platform. Each exchange will cost you at least $7 per gas, but we understand that the project can pay us back this spent gas 100 times more later. But this is not financial advice.

Usually projects that go out on the etherium network show alpha behavior and have balls of steel. And that means we expect a big reward from them. And Maverick Protocol looks like a project with steel balls. But that's not certain :)

The number 2 project I want to talk about today is Shardeum. It is a separate blockchain with a SHM token that we will be hunting for. The project has an $18.2 million investment from VC. I also read in their chats that VC was buying tokens for $1 with a project valuation of $200 million.

The best way to hunt for tokens in the Shardeum project is to set up a node. It's only worth 2,500-3,000 nodes there, although there were over 32,000 nodes in Aptos, each of which got 300 APT tokens that could be sold for $5,000. An acquaintance of mine from Vietnam put 200 nodes of Aptos and made $1 million.

I don't know how much our community knows how to put up nodes and if I read in the chats that it doesn't, I'll write an article about it. But right now I'm going to explain how to put up a node like you know how to rent a server and use it

  1. Renting the cheapest server. I usually do this at https://contabo.com/

  2. Log in to the server. I use mobaxterm
Set up the server. Insert these commands into the terminal, separately. Where needed, hit "Y" (yes) and Enter.

    sudo apt-get install curl

    sudo apt update

The following code from the word sudo to the word compose is one line

    sudo apt install docker.io sudo curl -L "https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.29.2/docker-compose-$(uname -s)-$(uname -m)" -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose

    sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-compose

  3. Next comes the download and installation of the validator

curl -O https://gitlab.com/shardeum/validator/dashboard/-/raw/main/installer.sh && chmod +x installer.sh && ./installer.sh

The questions begin. Press "y" (yes) everywhere + set your password when "Set the password to access the Dashboard" appears After that you have to type in the ports. Press Enter to apply the default ports. The installation process of the node begins. After installation is complete, you will have to type:

cd .shardeum

./shell.sh

operator-cli gui start

  1. Node installed. Start the node via Dashboard. Open your browser and type https://IP-address:8080/ where IP-address is the IP address of your node.
Enter the password you have just added and you are in the dashboard.
Go to the Maintenance tab and start the node. Refresh page.
    The node is started.
The last step, we need to save the SHM tokens.
Go to this site and add the Shardeum Sphinx 1.X network in MetaMask.
Go to this or this faucet and get test tokens. You can also request test tokens in the faucet in their Discord

  2. Go back to Dashboard, connect your Metamask in the Maintenance tab and steak the tokens you get.

All you have to do is check once a day to see if your node has stopped. If you have any questions about the node, ask them in the Shardeum Discord

And remember, a fat old degen Suimo will make you rich
