In this segment i will quickly demo how to bridge from eth mainnet to starknet to be able to use your starknet wallets First you need to have some eth in any web3 wallets in this example let us use metamask . Have some eth in metamask
Secondly you need to have a starknet wallet installed , that is either braavos or Agent x wallets . You can find them in the links below ;
for braavos; https://braavos.app/
for Agent X wallet; https://www.argent.xyz/argent-x/
Once installed you can now begin the process by looking up Starkgate on your browser at https://goerli.starkgate.starknet.io/
In this demonstration we use the testnet version but we can find the mainnet on https://starkgate.starknet.io/
PROCEDURE
Before connecting to metamask ensure you have eth from eth mainnet in your wallet ( Disclaimer in this demo we use testnet for demonstration purposes but procedure is the same )
STEP 1 Connect Your Metamask & Starknet Wallet to Starkgate…
The prompts are simple and straight forward once connected to metamask Agent X will pop up and you connect too.
STEP 2 Bridge from eth to starknet
Input the amount of eth you would like to bridge and press transfer button
STEP 3 Bridging Complete
before the wallet looked like the image below
After bridging the wallet now looks lik the image below and is usable for starknet stuff :-)
Once the bridging is complete log into your wallet and find the eth here..
Congratulations, you have managed to bridge from eth to mainnet and now you are able to receive , send and use your starknet wallet.
Additional information: Always remember to disconnect your wallets from all the sites after using them as a security and safety measure.Emjoy the starknet ecosystem !
