Today is the anniversary of learning from Lei Feng. Since March 5, 1963, in the following decades, Lei Feng spirit has become synonymous with the spirit of serving the people wholeheartedly. Lei Feng’s words, deeds and every move show the spirit of a revolutionary soldier and Communist Party striving to realize the great ideal of communism.

On the eve of the anniversary of learning from Lei Feng, Dalian Public Cultural Service Center launched a lyrics collection activity for the whole society with the theme of “learning from Lei Feng voluntary service”, and received nearly 100 contributions from authors all over the country. After professional evaluation by experts, the “good man is a song” submitted by author Shi Qiang was successfully selected.

The song is composed by Li Hongsheng, a famous composer from Dalian, and LV Yiming, a young composer.

On March 5, 2022, we launched the public service song “good people are a song” on this special day. The song MV was recorded by volunteers from various industries in Dalian, Dalian good people and leaders of volunteer service teams. The participants included teachers of primary and secondary schools, staff of urban cultural museum, literature and art propaganda and education staff of trade unions, actors of professional theatres, musicians of Symphony Orchestra, musicians, TV hosts, medical workers, railway workers, museum commentators, software engineers, college students, middle school students, primary school students and other fields.

The voluntary service spirit of “dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance and progress” is consistent with the ideals, beliefs, value orientation and moral norms of contemporary Chinese people.
