Hello, Mirror community! We’re The Female Quotient, an equality services company that provides thought leadership platforms for women and solutions for organizations committed to closing the gender gap.

We believe that when women come together to rewrite the rules of the workplace, the workplace becomes better for everyone. Our work began years ago in the corporate world when we saw that women at key industry conferences felt disconnected, underestimated and invisible. We’re talking big conferences — like the World Economic Forum at Davos, big.

That’s when we created our legendary Equality Lounge®, a space where women and conscious leaders come together to connect, set the agenda and rewrite the rules of the workplace. Today, our IRL Lounges and community engagements at Davos, Cannes Lion, CES, SXSW and more have forever altered the business agenda and sparked real change in the workplace.

Now we’re ready to bring our movement into the next generation of innovation — the metaverse.

We purchased land in Decentraland, Sandbox and NFT Worlds, ensuring that women are at the forefront of Web3. These spaces will be used as a hub to bring women and leaders across the metaverse together to change the future of work, and we’d love for you to join our community and play a key role in helping us shape it.

As our President, Talia Bender, said, “We intend to become the largest networking hotspot in the metaverse for women and conscious leaders.”

While there’s no denying the promise of Web3, it currently mirrors the inequities of our current financial and social systems. Only 5% of crypto companies are led by women, and women are investing in crypto at half the rate of men, which could prolong the gender wealth gap by another 15-20 years. Simply put: Women are getting left behind, and we can’t let this pattern continue.

Sooo… how exactly are we going to advance equality in the metaverse? Here’s a bit of what we have planned:

1. Metaverse Onboarding Tour: Creating an educational launch pad, The FQ will work directly with women and businesses interested in entering the Metaverse. The programming will include a 60 to 120-minute Metaverse tour, including an introduction to Discord, setting up a wallet, exploring the Metaverse and showing how to add wearables to an avatar, purchase an NFT and more.
2. Signature Events: Producing high-level programming and Metaverse experiences, focused on supporting and connecting women in The FQ’s Equality Lounge space. The FQ plans to host a series of events and programming throughout the year, with at least one recurring series every month and twin Equality Lounges IRL and in the metaverse.
3. Inclusive Space: Mirroring the Equality Lounge IRL, The FQ will make its Metaverse space available to showcase female founders, entrepreneurs, activists, and organizations who are looking to host their own events, showcase their talents, and more.
