From the perspective of coffee characteristic blocks, the top three are Fengjing Road, University Road and Anyi road. They have 5.02, 3.84 and 2.8 cafes per 100 meters.

The chain rate of 42.99% is another remarkable feature of Shanghai’s coffee industry, and this proportion is much higher than that of other cities in the world. The report points out that there are 783 boutique cafes selected from the multidimensional aspects of coffee concentration, attention to flavor and quality control, accounting for 11.33%. The industrial upgrading brought by the third coffee wave has driven convenience stores, bookstores, theatres, hotels and other places to develop their own coffee brands. Coffee culture has penetrated into the corners of the city.
