With a lot of excitement and interest circulating about 0G’s introduction and sales of AI alignment node license NFT, which officially started on the official channel on 11 November 2024 (with chances to secure the NFT from selected partners a few days earlier), if you’ve secured your NFT licenses, you must wonder what to do next!

Let’s recap on what the AI Alignment node is:

What is a 0G AI Alignment Node?

To put it briefly, the AI Alignment node's key function is to monitor and verify the functionality of other nodes in 0G’s ecosystem, including the Data Availability, Storage, Serving, Validator, and Serving nodes. This ensures that the 0G network is more transparent and reliable in order to enable smooth operations of the Decentralised AI Operating System (dAIOS).

The 0G Foundation Node Sale consists of 175,500 total nodes. The Ai Alignment Node comes with the following functionalities:

• Checker functionality: Ensuring other nodes (DA, storage, validator, serving,etc.) within the 0G ecosystem are functioning properly.

• Security: Enhancing network security by verifying transactions and keeping AI accountable.

• Decentralization: Ensuring the 0G network remains decentralized and resilient.

• Economic and Governance Roles: Node holders may earn rewards and participate in governance decisions, influencing the network’s direction.

• *AI Model training: Detecting AI model drift which may occur during training.

• *Identification: Identifying corrupt or malicious data, AI agents/networks, and API price feed mismatch so that timely intervention can occur before on-chain execution.

• *AI Processing Power: Supporting AI computations and enabling on-chain AI services

*These awesome functionalities will be added in the future alongside the expansion of dAIOS and 0G serving nodes

So I have secure license NFTs, what happens next?

There are many important you should know about the nodes and how you can get rewards from running the node and this includes tokenomics and rewards vesting schedule that we will discuss in this section.

How to get the NFT:

The License NFT will be airdropped to the wallet you used to make purchases directly after the completion of the sales.

Key dates:

• Node Sale Phases: Whitelist Sale (Nov 11), Community Sale (Nov 13)

• Transferability: Node NFTs are non-transferable for 12 months to ensure long-term commitment.

• Node Activation: Node operations will commence after the Mainnet launch, projected for Q1 2025

• Rebate: 2 - 3 weeks after the completion of node sales

Hardware requirements:

• 64MB RAM

• 1 x 86 CPU cores @ 2.1GHz

• 10GB Disk Space

• 10Mbps Internet Connection

Rewards and Tokenomics

AI Alignment node runners will share a pool of 15% of the total supply of 0G tokens as shown in the Tokenomics pie chart below:

The rewards are allocated over the 3 years from the activation date to runners who play their part in helping to secure the network and assisting in checking and verifying activities in the 0G ecosystem. The owner of the license NFT must participate in the aforementioned activities (running the nodes reliably) to be eligible for the rewards.

Vesting schedule

0G’s discord community voted for the option B vesting schedule which is as follows:

Option B

[Part I]33% of total alignment node rewards will be claimable upon TGE.     
This 33% is further broken down into:     
- [Part I-A]: 10% of rewards can be claimed without any penalty at TGE     
- [Part I-B]: Penalties apply for claims as follows (based on the remaining 23% of [Part I]):          
> Immediate claim: 40% of rewards can be claimed, and 60% will be distributed back to the 0G foundation.          
> Claim after 180 days before 360 days: 65% of rewards can be claimed, and 35% will be distributed back to the 0G foundation.          
> Claim after 360 days: 100% rewards can be claimed.

[Part II]The remaining 67% will be linearly unlocked (daily) for 36 months.

Rebate

If you filled in a promo code during purchase, you and your referer will both get a 10% rebate for the price you paid for the license NFT.

The rebate will be transferred to your and your referrer’s wallets around 2 to 3 weeks after the completion of node sales. The end of sales is still TBA.

How to run the AI Alignment Node

It is going to be easy and straightforward. The 0G team will publish the instructions with steps to follow and a tutorial video in the future. I will surely update this document again when the information is out, so stay tuned for more updates.If you prefer not to manage the node by yourself, it is possible to delegate your license to your trusted persons/operators to do it for you. You will have to learn and discuss the terms, conditions and compensations will your selected operators.

What will happen to any unsold node rewards?

0G team stated during various AMA that they expected to achieve around 50 - 75% of the total supply of nodes. The unsold nodes will be burned which will result in higher allocation to the remaining AI Alignment node runners who run the nodes and are eligible for rewards.

The 0G Foundation has also secured $250M in a liquid line / token purchase commitment. Some portion of this fund will be used to purchase the unsold nodes and burn them to fulfil the aforementioned promise.

How to be eligible for rewards

There are three requirements to be eligible for rewards. You have to meet all of them to be able to claim the rewards.
