Web 3.0 is a advanced version of both Web 1.0 and current most popular Web 2.0
History of the Web
Web 1.0 started when the internet was founded in the 1980 and lasted exactly 20 years having a upgrade to Web 2.0 in 2000. We used to belive whatever was put on Web 1.0 since there was no way we could change even the wierdest facts out there, however on Web 2.0 the dreams became a reality with the introduction of Google, Facebook, Twitter and much more!
In Turkey, Ankara a program called Dijital Çağ Atölyesi was the first to make a 6 week activity to teach children of all age Web 3.0 and why it is so important and advanced that it could change the future of their lives, For a fact i was also in that program and here are what we did for the first 5 weeks and what we are gonna do in the last (6th) week.
Week 1: we looked at dijital money used in the metaverse and what will be the new currency of the world in the future, these dijital currencys included:
- Bitcoin
- PRE
- Storj
- BRAVE
- BritCoin
- Bitcoin+
- Litecoin
- Featherrcoin
- QuarkCoin
- Ethereum
We mainly used the Metamask wallet to store our money since its free and it could hold many types of coins at a time.
Week 2: We looked at dijital art and how it could be more or less valueable that real world art. I used HTML and CSS with some JS. The website we used was CODEPEN
If someone made artwork here by code it could be sold for millions or maybe billions.
A well known dijital artisy called Jay Salvat made the exact replica of the ‘Mona Lisa’ (which was originally made by Vincent Van Gogh) in codepen with more that 7,000 lines of code.
Week 3: We created our own animated NFT’s by drawing a figure on paper then uploading it onto Meta’s new Animator which turns drawings into real moving humans!
After making more than 30 NFT’s we uploaded and sold then on OPENSEA using once again our MetaMask wallet’s.
Week 4: ‘DotBigBang’ Does it sound familliar? Well yes since its currently in the top 3 Web 3.0 metaverse apps/website.

Week 5: In the lesson im currently writing this! We looked at 5 of the greatest platforms that could wipe of 5 of the biggest platforms currently!!!!
- Google vs Presearch
- Chrome vc BRAVE
- Youtube vs D.Tube
- Drive vs Storj
- Medium vs Mirror
It was really suprising that how these companys could take over Google, Youtube, Chrome and Medium but their are the down sides of them. All of the program’s that could replace these big company’s are all safe but Google, Chrome, Youtube, Drive and Medium are unsafe, the ads that are shown are all put there depending on what we search and do, they also steal our private info like our name, adress, card numbers everything and put them into a category in their storage divices,
I switched to BRAVE 2 months ago since when i was using Google i kept lagging out when i tried to acces my wallet, it didnt allow me since Google was scared of Brave and All the other platforms listed, they knew that it could take away their place in use and popularity.
Week 6: We are going to get our Certificates and we are going to look at VR also known as Artificial Intelligence, I don’t know what we will do but ill make another post about the week when we are done!
