Japanese Web3 startup HashPort completes about $7 million in financing

According to PR Times, HashPort, a Japanese Web3 start-up company, announced that it has completed the first phase of its C-round financing of 900 million yen (about 7 million U.S. dollars) through a third-party allotment of shares. Sumitomo Mitsui Bank and Edge Capital Partners of the University of Tokyo participated in the investment , the financing will be used to strengthen the corporate consulting business, the business combining Japanese IP and NFT, and strengthen the group's internal control system.

It is reported that HashPort Group has been committed to the research and development of blockchain technology since 2018. Its subsidiaries include blockchain-related consulting and system solutions HashPort, NFT project HashPalette, and financial infrastructure HashBank.
