According to Bloomberg News, SoftBank Group's vision fund unit lost 660 billion yen (about 5 billion U.S. dollars) for the fourth consecutive quarter in the three months ending December 2022 (that is, the third fiscal quarter of 2022). SoftBank Group's overall net loss was 783.4 billion yen, below analysts' expectations for a profit of 205.9 billion yen.

Prior to the news in November last year, SoftBank said it had written down its FTX investment to zero, and claimed that its investment in FTX was less than $100 million, and it only accounted for a small part of its $100 billion Vision Fund.
