Bloomberg: Ex-FTX exec Nishad Singh plans to plead guilty to criminal charges

According to Bloomberg, former FTX director of engineering Nishad Singh is finalizing a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to criminal charges. The agreement has not yet been finalized. He will be the third member of the SBF inner circle to plead guilty and cooperate with prosecutors, following FTX co-founder Gary Wang and former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison. SBF has pleaded not guilty to a string of criminal charges, including fraud, and is awaiting trial in October. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to more than 100 years in prison. FTX, which filed for bankruptcy in November last year, was once valued at as much as $32 billion. The company has an estimated 9 million customers and could owe as much as $3.1 billion to its top 50 creditors.
