DeFi Rating — the future king of DeFi portfolio management? Platform overview.
April 21st, 2022

The rapid development of the DeFi industry has given rise to the need for a unified database. The solution is called DeFi Rating. However, the creators of this service went several steps further by also integrating diverse portfolio management functionality and a set of educational tools. Let’s delve into the platform!

DeFi Rating is a new aggregator that’s based on a proprietary rating formula and which unites ALL major DeFi projects. It’s a one-stop-station for anyone interested in Decentralized Finance. Users will find detailed analytics, DeFi project ratings, APY predictions — Q DeFi Rating provides myriad tools to help users make informed investment decisions.

Despite the fact that DeFi Rating is at the minimum viable product (MVP) stage, its functionality is already superior to any other analogues. We’ll be taking a close look at each feature and so our journey begins with the main page.

Entering the site will direct you to the Explore page — an all-in-one navigation page designed for your convenience. This page allows you to scalp the basic and freshest information on the DeFi market. Here, you’ll find:

Explore is a very handy site navigator. But the coolest features are found in the My Account section.

The developers have endowed My Account with a soul! And this soul knows everything about your investments in DeFi. As soon as you connect your wallet, the Dashboard will sparkle into life with new colors! At the top are the three most important windows:

The perfect solution! Most people are influenced by high APYs when staking their crypto assets in liquidity pools and farming projects. How surprised they are when Impermanent Loss eats more assets than they can potentially earn. Thanks to the sophisticated algorithms of DeFi Rating, any user can see the “real” profitability of their invested assets. And it’s completely free (for up to 3 wallets)!

But the magic doesn’t end there! For each wallet, separate statistics are shown, including a number of important parameters:

And if you click on any one of these, a whole new world opens up before you. Here, you are given even more detailed information about this particular wallet:

The Account Overview shows absolutely all the assets on your account and where they are allocated: in the wallet, in deposits, in the form of NFT, in liquidity pools, in debt, etc. — absolutely every type of cryptocurrency usage. It’s the same with platforms, you can easily find out on which platforms your assets are stored.

In order not to get lost in all these platforms and assets, the developers came up with a completely ingenious idea — Assets and Platform Allocation statistics. You can take a look at the percentage distribution of investments across all available DeFi services.

But we’re not done yet with the Dashboard section! As soon as you click on any of the pools in which your assets are located, you will fall even deeper! In addition to the standard data, the user is shown detailed information about their assets in the pool.

A similar story awaits you on the Token screen. You will see statistics on the coins in your wallet: coin price, share in your portfolio, the purchase price and your profit including the Gas expenses, as well as detailed information on the coin (market cap, 1 year low and high price, links to social networks and transaction history for this coin).

Moving on to Transactions. You can view the entire transaction history of the wallet, yes, absolutely everything:

Users can add projects and pools to their list of favorites through the Explore section. Watch the projects you rated via Ratings or even propose hand-crafted articles for the Research Center via Posts! And the last point here is the Settings, where you can add any information about yourself except for anything private.

A huge part of the aggregator is its pages dedicated to projects. They are scattered into 4 main categories:

Each of these pages contain basic information about the projects, presented in list form. On the Projects page, the main criteria is total value locked (TVL) and the main data is: the token price, its capitalization, the price change per day, market cap and project rating. The information on the Farming Projects page is similar.

On the Yield Farming POOLs page, you’ll see liquidity, daily volume, the pool’s age and ROI come to the fore. The same goes for the ALL POOLs page.

Even more information can be viewed by clicking on any of the pools. The screen will display the distribution of assets within the pool, Expected Fees (next 30 days), Expected Impermanent Loss (next 30 days), Equivalent APR, Fees (24h) and a direct description of the pool (if any). If you think that this is where the information ends, you are wrong. There are also details about the coin, the project, your share in the pool and much more.

The breakdown of projects will surprise you even more. Each project has its own page and this is where the fun begins. In addition to basic information which includes: capitalization, website, social networks, type, etc., you can familiarize yourself with the detailed description and a guide to using the project.

The heat increases in the Rating tab. The developers have created an incredibly complex methodology for honestly evaluating projects. If we talked about it in detail, this article would turn into an encyclopedia and no one needs that. Take our word for it, the methodology includes all possible criteria in order to derive the most objective assessment in the end. More details can be found here.

After reviewing the Rating, we move on to the Chat “Uncensored” tab — this is a critics’ paradise. Any user can leave an anonymous opinion about the project or read the opinions of other users.

In the last tab, you can see articles about the current project. If the project has screwed up and the DeFi Rating researchers have found out about it, the information will be there!

How could any self-respecting DeFi aggregator exist without DeFi Pulse? No way. That’s why DeFi Rating offers a detailed Asset Analysis service on 6 blockchains! The information can be viewed either as one combined list or it can be separated into single blockchain environments. Below TVL is a list of projects on this chain. And, of course, the developers did not forget about the default service — CoinMarketCap. On this page, you can find out the price and details of any coin on the market.

Before we move on to a very entertaining section, it is worth explaining the Token Sales page in detail. Young investors will definitely find it useful. Here you can track token sales, past and future. Users will find a lot of useful information: token name, social networks and website, type of offering, exchange, status and much more. A unique and useful service.

Here we present the Research Center! A chic section with tons of useful information gathered from primary sources. DeFi Rating’s research team is guided by the principles of impartiality and objectivity, which makes all the information in this section even more valuable. In general, they tell the truth here based on paid analytical data from trusted sources. If you need DeFi knowledge — it’s here!

An equally important resource for knowledge is the Glossary section. Users can learn perhaps all the necessary terminology of the crypto market. Many terms here are presented in two forms — short and long. If the phrase “Buy The F **** Dip” seems incomprehensible, just head over to the Glossary page!

The final step is the About Us page. DeFi Rating’s developers don’t hide their faces, you can learn more about the team and their expertise on this page. Laconic, informative, 10/10.

Did you think that was all? No, sir. DeFi Rating is now in its minimal viable product (MVP) version and the main scope of the work is still ahead. Some of the features described above (in particular in My Account) are in the final stage of development and have not yet been integrated into the aggregator interface. However, the team is moving at an insane speed!

Recently, a sub-project of DeFi Rating called QPolka was presented. This is a separate aggregator dedicated exclusively to projects created on the Polkadot blockchain. To evaluate projects, the same methodology is used as on the rating platform itself. And you can also find out many details about each project presented here.

But that’s still not all! The developers have a clear understanding of the future development vector of this aggregator. Soon, they plan to add more DeFi services:

It seems like DeFi Rating is out to rule the whole DeFi industry. The developers still have an unimaginable amount of work ahead of them though! What we can say for sure at this point- this aggregator is too good to ignore.
