The GreenPill Network has celebrated its first anniversary since the official launch of our network, and we're happy to share that this marks only the beginning of our journey. Our mission remains committed: to ship digital regenerative infrastructure worldwide. We achieve this through a multifaceted approach encompassing podcasts, literature, training modules, educational resources, local chapters, GPN guilds, and collaborative efforts with other regenerative-focused initiatives to build web3 tools. Here's a glimpse into our ongoing projects, explorations, and current experiments:

New chapters
We just wrapped up an 8 session cohort for people interested in starting new chapters. Our goal with this was to help provide the resources and support needed for people to launch new chapters. Moving forward we’ll have a more fast-paced cohort as we felt the 3 months of onboarding was too long. Our next cohort will be a sprint focused on helping activate people to run their first community event, followed by continuing support.
GreenPill will be running an onboarding cohort for those interested in starting a new chapter in May. If you’re curious about what that might entail keep your eyes peeled on our Twitter, as we’ll be hosting a town hall session on starting a local chapter in April.
GreenPill Network Guilds
Guilds are a place for cross-pollination within and around the GreenPill ecosystem. It’s a way for people to participate in different zones of interest regardless of whether they are in a local chapter or not, or where they are located.
GreenPill Dev Guild's goals in 2024
Developing and launching the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of an onboarding app for the GreenPill Network (GPN) that will help local chapters create quests and other impact-focused campaigns for their community.
The Dev Guild hacker team won the top 50 community choice award at the EthDenver hackathon for their Camp Green project.
Writers/translation Guild
Helping translate GreenPill content into other languages
Working on updating the ImpactDAO book to launch V2
Shipping a monthly GreenPill Network Impact report, to help us capture what GPN is up to regularly.
We have two other guilds currently in the startup phase with the idea that they will support the network and larger regenerative community:
Pioneer Guild: If you are interested in starting a project that can benefit the public goods/Regen space? This is the place for you.
We aim to identify industry leaders who can share their knowledge with new projects. From Legal, Marketing, Community building, architectural frameworks, tokenomics, grants, exploring L2s and more.
Governance Guild: a space for people to discuss different governance tools, systems and structures that are currently supporting the web3 ecosystem.
GreenPill x Hypercerts are teaming up to build: Impact Visualization Platform
We are excited to announce we were one of the finalists chosen by the Optimism Grants Council to help make Impact Evaluation more accessible. We will work with the Hypercerts team to build out a tool to make impact evaluation easier for badge holders and grant reviewers.
Round Manager Training available online:
We have turned our live 8-week training, into an on-demand training program - you can now view it online on Gitcoins YouTube
Since then there have been 16 rounds run by members of our training cohort with an additional minimum of 3 more coming up during GG20.
Some notable rounds include:
A round supporting space exploration projects with over 26k in community donations https://reportcards.gitcoin.co/324/0xabdb3a90fd5678cc180734ea945514e9b2197ae9
A round supporting local and global regeneration projects with over 51k in community donations https://reportcards.gitcoin.co/324/0x2dbf25d8b490bc7a3e622309dd99a248c8b82776
Unlock DAO helped retroactively reward communities and builders using their tech stack on Arbitrum.

Resources and templates provided in the Round Manager Training have helped launch an upcoming Refi community round, an Unlock x Arbitrum retro round, and a Desci-focused round.
Grants = Growth
Gitcoin recently launched its Grants = Growth campaign, which highlights that the more you help fund your ecosystem’s builders, projects and public goods, the more growth your ecosystem has overall.
We’ve seen this with Gitcoin’s QF and direct grants stack going public, with multiple community rounds happening outside of and alongside their GG rounds.
Optimism RetroPGF is another example of this in action.
We are looking to experiment with more seriously, ‘do grants = growth’ within the GreenPill ecosystem.
Funding The GreenPill Network ecosystem:
We just concluded a 10 eth round for the GreenPill community in partnership with Octant with the initial goal to help fund 40 projects in the broader GP network. We are happy to announce we helped fund 48 projects, raising an extra $5,546.74 in public donations, on top of the 10 ETH matching pool that will be distributed via QF.
We are also getting ready to launch our first RetroPGF citizens round for the GreenPill Network. More details coming soon, but we were very inspired by the EasyRetroPGF training. Our scope for funding will largely focus on work that has helped push the GreenPill Network forward in measurable ways and verifiable ways.
The GreenPill Network is excited to announce it’ll be on the RetroEasy Cohort 2, as we use the tool to help us run our retroPGF citizens round.
We plan on documenting and writing a full retrospective on how these grant programs impact the growth of the network.
