Integrating with Synternet to Provide Data for Mantis Solvers

Mantis is incredibly pleased to be working with Synternet, an innovative Web3 data infrastructure provider. Synternet provides real-time data streams across any chain, making it a perfect fit to provide Mantis solvers with the data they need to properly perform their roles.

About the Collaboration

Mantis is collaborating with Synternet to direct relevant data streams to solvers in the Mantis network. This integration will leverage Synternet's Data Layer to provide critical real-time information from Ethereum, Solana, and Osmosis blockchains. Solvers will have access to augmented and filtered data streams containing contract storage states, liquidity pool information, and detailed block structures.

Synternet's data streams will be integrated as the recommended data source in Mantis technical documentation and solver development materials. This will allow solvers to easily tap into these powerful data feeds as they build and optimize their algorithms. Moreover, Synternet’s data streams will be integrated into the example solver constructed by Mantis. Other entities wishing to run a solver on Mantis may build off of this example solver, meaning that they will have built-in access to Synternet data streams.

By providing instantaneous access to accurate, multi-chain data, this collaboration aims to significantly reduce latency in the solver process. It will enable more efficient and effective solutions for Mantis users, setting a new standard for data accessibility and cross-chain interoperability in the intent solving space.

Case Study

The following case study demonstrates how Synternet data will be used by Mantis solvers to help them provide solutions to user intents:

  1. A user submits the following intent to Mantis: “I want to swap 5 SOL for ETH at the best price”

  2. This intent is accessed by the Mantis solver network

  3. A Mantis solver trying to solve the intent pulls the following data from Synternet’s Solana data streams and Ethereum data streams:

    1. Uniswap v2 type pools

    2. Virtual reserves of the Uniswap v3 pools

    3. Expected gas fees and gas costs

  4. The Mantis solver uses this data to determine a settlement route for the user’s intent

  5. This solver has provided the solution best satisfying the user’s constraints (i.e. best price), leading to them winning the solver auction on Mantis

  6. The solver then executes the intent along their proposed solution pathway

  7. The solver is rewarded

More About Synternet

Synternet believes that the future of the internet depends upon the accessibility of permissionless, interoperable data. To deliver upon this vision for the future, Synternet provides real-time, permissionless infrastructure using composable data streams.

In particular, Synternet has created the Data Layer protocol on their blockchain, which has recently launched on Cosmos mainnet. This protocol enables the cross-chain flow of universal, real-time data such as price feeds, volumes, and liquidity depths. These data streams enable anyone to deliver on-chain data (i.e. be a “publisher”) or to receive this data (i.e. be a “subscriber”). Other entities in this protocol are brokers (network nodes relaying data between publishers and subscribers) and observers (nodes that monitor data delivery). This real-time data streaming structure eliminates the need for data requests and replies, which are accompanied by a higher computational burden and centralization risks.

The Synternet Data Layer can be accessed via their Data Layer SDK. Projects can use the SDK to leverage Synternet’s data streams to support their own cross-chain use cases; this is precisely what Mantis is doing for the current collaboration.
