Ayra Starr’s real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe. She was born in June 2002. She started university when she was 14 and is already a graduate yet she is only 19 and successful within her first year in a music career and fashion model.

She got into the music scene late last year when she was signed into Mavin Records, Don Jazzy’s record label. In her introduction video when she just started her music journey, she said she’s a young girl with ambition who trying to tell stories of hers and people around her using music

Her first music project was Ayra Starr the EP, which features the songs AWAY, DITR, SARE, IJA, and MEMORIES. This song reveals the talent Ayra Starr has and the uniqueness of her voice which got most people comparing her with TEMS. The standout song on this EP is DITR where she talks of how her mum warned her about life and now she a DITR it could be guys drowned in drugs, university girls who no longer attends just the whole idea of life turning against one’s expectations plus the whole idea of mental health. This song just resonates with real-life situations that most of us or our friends could be enduring.

This year she released her new album 19 & Dangerous that has been rocking the airwaves and have seen her on charts, Do a lot of live performances, has a lot of fans do Tiktok challenges especially of her most popular song on the album BLOODY SAMARITAN, this just speaks out of self believe, believe in God or just everything is possible despite the wishes of our enemies. This song happens to be relatable to many coz this is a real-life situation. Other songs on the EP include BEGGIE BEGGIE ft Ckay which happens to be my favorite tracks and collabo on the album, CAST, FASHION KILLA, LONELY, SNITCH ft Foushee, TOXIC, KARMA, UNDERWATER, BRIDGERTN, and AMIN.

• Mahalia on a 234-Remix of her song ROADSIDE ft Rema

  She’s also expected to have a collaboration with Wizkid next year and more career breakthroughs. She’s a huge force on the African music scene at the moment and highly unstoppable.
