It is undeniable that the success of friend.tech has led to an influx of projects trying to replicate this concept, with little to small key differences from the former, such as deploying it on a different chain. Additionally, using vampire attacks such as airdrops as an incentive to attract users, doesn’t seem like a sustainable strategy.

Furthermore, there seems to be a common misunderstanding that JamFrens is a “Friend Tech” Fork/Clone such as mentioned above. This is NOT TRUE.

What’s the key difference? — We are not using Twitter’s Social Graph, but rather we are based on Decentralized Social Networks where most of the users there are already Web3 Native. Admittedly, our user base at the start will be small, however, we foresee a butterfly effect once more users realize the value and potential possible only with JamFrens.

With JamFrens, we can tokenize the social profile of a user, and because it is on-chain and verifiable, it can be interoperable and apps/developers can use this to BUIDL different products on top of JamFrens. JamFrens will thus be the go-to platform for those wanting to BUIDL products based on Social Capital.

We are also focused on bringing utility to key holders. We do not think personalized gated chats is a sufficient use-case for a key. We will bring gamification and the true “Fi” within SocialFi. With a core focus to support ALL creators, even those with a small following, we will bring different ways to support content discoverability, as well as sustainable monetization mechanisms to the Creator Economy within Decentralized Social Networks.
