What is Unlock?

Unlock is a yield and governance protocol built on top of Maverick protocol.

At Unlock, our goal is to:

• Enhance yield & utility for Maverick users.

• Leverage quantitative optimization and machine learning to provide maximum risk-adjusted yield for Maverick users.

• Safeguard security and decentralisation.

• Provide boosted veMAV voting power.

Unlock on BASE will be launched over 3 stages.

Stage 1 is live and introduces:

• The Unlock Games an incentivized launch program for Unlock.

• A liquid wrapper for veMAV called $unkMAV (similar to cvxCRV).

• Boosted $MAVvoting power for through $UNK (similar to CVX).

• The Guardians Multisig, a group of ecosystem experts from Maverick, Liquity, Tokemak, unshETH and Pendle. Key protocols already building with Maverick.

The Unlock Games, stage 1

So far in stage 1, the community has been engaged and involved with sharing Unlock’s DApp and utilizing core functionality and we’re exceedingly thankful for all the feedback and ideas users have provided to us.

We wanted to clarify how users can get involved and what rewards they can receive.

So we’re turning up the intensity by focusing primarily on how $unkMAV can be utilized for Maverick and partner protocols, rewarding users who participate in the Unlock ecosystem.

We have launched a Questboard to show users exactly what is on offer. There are a series of on-chain and off-chain tasks, including puzzle games such as ‘The Riddle’ that you can solce by drawing pixel art directly on the app and minting it as an NFT. Users that complete the Quests get the Unlock OG’s role on Discord and unlock multipliers to get more points and advance their rank in The Unlock Games.

How to Participate?

In stage 1, the following tasks will be able to earn points, which will include both off-chain and on-chain tasks and are as follows:

On-chain:

• Mint unkMAV

• Mint UNKNFT - this mint is limited to 1000 NFTs and unlocks a canvas on the dApp.

• Draw pixelart on the in-app canvas

Off-chain:

• Follow Unlock on twitter

• Join the discord

• Join our Guild and verify your assets to get the Unlock OG’s role.

• Verify tasks on the Questboard.

• Share your pixelart to twitter to solve The Riddle.

Rewards:

You’ll earn points for all the on-chain tasks and earn multipliers to the points you earn by completing the off-chain tasks. Once all the tasks are completed within our Questboard, you’ll have completed the requirements for stage 1 so far!

Doing so entitles you the following:

• Unlock OG Role - Which ensures benefits and rewards down the line

• Unlock Merch - We want our users and community members to be able to represent Unlock within Ethereum, BNB and zkSync as well as the greater DeFi ecosystem and have merch to match.

• $UNK Airdrop Eligibility - $UNK will be our utility-focused protocol token that will be used for governance, earning of fees generated by Unlock (once we go live with our treasury in the future) and earning a portion of MAV tokens generated by Unlock.

• Future Campaign Benefits - This can include a bonus or booster to our subsequent campaigns, The Unlock Games stage 2, which will have it’s own airdrop component (and will stack with the campaign bonus you receive from the Unlock OG).

What Else Do I Need To Know?

Make sure the address/wallet you’re using is the same as the one you’ll be using for connecting to the Questboard and Guild as we have to reconcile whether or not you’ve completed on-chain tasks accordingly.

We’ll be rewarding active and vocal users so be sure to participate as much as possible to multiply your points!
