“When people are idle, osmanthus flowers fall, the night is quiet, and the spring mountains are empty.” This poem comes from the bird singing stream written by Wang Wei, a famous poet of the Tang Dynasty.
This poem makes me seem to see that on a silent night, the poet walked slowly through a spring osmanthus tree, and the flowers on the tree fell down with a slight touch. The poet stood under the tree and looked into the distance. The sound of the streams in the valley and the chirping of several insects set off the incomparable quietness and mystery of the valley in spring.
Suddenly, the moon rose slowly in the treetops, and the soft moonlight shone on the valley. The birds in the trees seemed to be startled by the rising moon, flapped their wings and flew away. The clear chirp of birds floated away with the breeze. It’s a pity that I don’t know what kind of bird it is.
The moonlight enveloped the whole valley. The streams, plants, flowers and birds in the valley fell asleep. Only Wang Wei was left standing under the tree in the moonlight. At this time, there was some leisure and loneliness in his heart.
The poet returned to the house, and the osmanthus fell quietly with the wind
From the valley to the flowers and plants, everything in the valley is the comfort in Wang Wei’s heart, because only these can erase the trace of loneliness and melancholy in his heart.
Teacher comments: it is a unique “translation” to feel poetry and Wang Wei with a small composition. Because a little girl’s heart gradually approaches nature and beauty.
