Eternal Glory: Play-to-earn game modes galore!

**     Playing the same game over and over can become quite tiresome if done for long periods of time. However, some games are just too good that you just want to play them for hours on end. Don’t you sometimes wish you could play different styles of games inside the same game you enjoy? You don’t have to wonder for long as this is exactly what Eternal Glory offers. Let’s unpack this game and take a look at what it offers in blockchain gaming.**

Background

Eternal Glory is a multichain Gamefi platform developed by M Beast Games where players can use one of their NFTs to play the 9 available game modes that it offers. It provides a use case for NFTs that would otherwise just be ornamental or just stuck in your wallet/hard drive.

Graphics and Gameplay

Eternal Glory puts together gameplay from some of the most popular mobile games like Clash of Clans, Bloons TD, and Clash Royale to name a few. With graphics that look like a mixture of Roblox and Supercell’s Clash of Clans. Eternal Glory creates a vibrant and fun atmosphere for all the game modes available under its banner with quality that’s up to par with modern mobile games.

The core gameplay revolves around the Heroes, which are NFT characters you use to participate in the multiple game modes available in Eternal Glory which include:

Chest Hunt - Similar to Bomb Crypto, this is an idle game where your heroes search and break treasure chests to get tokens and other loot.

Tiny Defense - This is a tower-defense game mode where you place heroes along an enemy’s path to intercept them.

Tiny vs Zombies - Named after Plants vs Zombies, this is also a lane defense game where enemies will come from different lanes, and you must stop their wave of attacks from pushing you far.

Turn-based Tactics - Similar to Teamfight Tactics from Riot Games, this is a PVP auto-chess battler where you position your heroes, and they fight automatically and in turn.

Clash Auto - A 2v2 PVP auto-battle mode similar to Turn-based tactics but it splits the game into two which are the planning phase and the battle phase where the first player to win two rounds out of the three available rounds will be the winner.

Tiny Clash - Seemingly taken from Clash Royale, this is a PVP mode where players bring up to 5 heroes into the fight, but they would have to wait to draw the heroes. The first player to destroy an opponent's main tower will be declared the winner.

Castle Attack - Players bring their heroes to another town to complete a raid in this game mode. You place the characters on the ground, and they will defeat all invaders or destroy the other player's structure. Like Clash of Clans, the goal of this game mode is to destroy the enemy player’s town hall or defeat all of the invaders if you are the defending team.

Racing - A PVP game mode where players can bring their hero and their mount to a race where their heroes lose HP when accelerating. Players can bet on their desired heroes and can win rewards with every correct guess.

Spellstone - PVP turn-based game where players can deploy their heroes, but they would have to wait for a certain turn before they can directly attack the other player’s tower. The first person to lose their tower will be defeated.

It can be overwhelming to look at the number of game modes for Eternal Glory, but it may be a challenge to play all of them as there is a stamina system in place so that players cannot spam the games and keep the token from deflating too fast.

Earning Mechanics

Eternal Glory uses $ELO as its primary token for all the transactions in the game. It is a BEP 20 BSC Token with a max supply of 1 billion and it can be used to purchase and upgrade NFTs that are used in the game such as the heroes, the weapons they will use, the mount for the races, and even plots of digital land. $ELO is also used as a governance token for the game. You can earn the token from playing the various game modes available as well as rewards for some of the events that are present in the game as well as upcoming special quests.

Final Thoughts

At a glance, Eternal Glory may seem overwhelming and there is too much stuff happening all at once, but I think this is also its appeal. Having all your favorite games in one spot can be a good thing if you think that you’re getting the most value of your NFT if you ever purchased one as you can use it not just for one game, but for multiple activities inside the Eternal Glory metaverse.

Overall, I think the idea for Eternal Glory is okay but it is kind of flawed as it’s just like a carnival. You have all the fun stuff in one place although none of them are original. It doesn’t also help that the information about the team working on the project is hard to find and only one LinkedIn account can be traced back to Eternal Glory. Although it is available for free to play, I think if they really want people to trust them and spend their own cash, they should show credibility by providing all the necessary information needed for a project like this one.
