DESIGNING FOR THE PLANET FROM DAY ONE

INSIGHT

Imagine that every product we create is born from purpose, each is solving an environmental problem, and each design, NFT, and game is better for the planet than if it did not exist to offset the environmental cost. We are here to give back more than we take. E.g. by purchasing a product or NFT we can plant, protect and restore rainforests.

Re-think your business model by prioritizing the planet, people, and purposeful design, not KPIs to sell more products and push as many products into the market as possible.

Fast fashion is not harm-free. You can have all the money in the world… and still be poor in resources like clear water, fresh air, and trees. This is something that we learn collectively.

Climate change is a global problem, and now we can support the planet and people with the right intentions and innovation to resolve the challenges that we have in common.

CHALLENGES -> GOALS

PROTECTING WILDLIFE & REDUCE CARBON FOOTPRINT

We need to reduce our carbon footprint globally & support our planet to be carbon naturally. Forests are one of the most important carbon ‘lungs’ in the world.

Deforestation has significant implications for curb climate change as trees absorb about a third of the worldwide warming emissions.

The world’s largest and richest biodiversity on the planet is the Amazon rainforest. One of the most effective ways to reduce carbon footprint is to protect existing forests and their wildlife.

SUSTAINABILITY HELP REBUILD RAINFOREST

In Asian nations palm oil caused deforestation. Malesia and Indonesia produce 90% of global palm oil, and the main buyers are in India, China, Indonesia, and Europe.

Palm oil is used by big firms in a variety of products, from food like biscuits, ice cream, chocolate, chips, to cosmetics, and fuels.

In Indonesia and Malaysia, about 4.5 million people make a living from the palm oil business, and this lifts these countries out of poverty.

Singapore became the first country that ends use unsustainable palm oil.

OPPORTUNITIES

NOW YOU CAN USE NFTs TO HELP REBUILD RAINFOREST & COLLECT NFTs FOR THE RIGHT REASON

You can now buy NFTs (non-fungible tokens) that help rebuild Brazil’s rainforest & protect hectares of forest & wildlife.

Nemus and Moss, two environmentally friendly companies from Brazil own 560 hectares of the Amazon rainforest. They have been selling NFTs to fight deforestation in the world’s largest rainforest.

10% of Nemus’ initial sale of 8,000 hectares of NFTs was sold on the first day.

NFTs allow holders to maintain a variety of activities across the land, helping landowners share in their collective abundance and providing sustainability standards. However, the land is not owned by NFT holders.

Each NFT is portraying plants or animals related to the Amazon.

Some critics have questioned the effectiveness of NFTs in achieving environmental goals.

Blockchain technology needs a lot of computing power #energy, which means that naturally produced carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere.

That’s why we should invest in projects for the right reason and purposeful design products before they are on the market, including NFTs or gaming.

NATURE IS AMAZING

A single 400-year-old oak produces 234,000 liters of oxygen per year, absorbing carbon dioxide. It can support more than 2000 birds, fungi, and lichen.

Forests are rich in clean oxygen, fresh air, CO2, biodiversity, water purification, and regulation, lowering temperatures, windbreakers, healthy soil, and medicine for the body and mind.

We should invest more in forests worldwide.
