Times are tough right now. Although I've managed to escape homelessness, finding a job and becoming independent still feels like an uphill battle. Every day, I face constant hurdles that seem insurmountable, and it often feels like my efforts aren't paying off. The struggle of looking for work and being unsuccessful adds to the challenge, and the shame and depression that often set in when others make false assumptions can be overwhelming.

Despite all this, I'm doing my best to stay focused and keep moving forward. Although I depend on others for survival, gratitude fills me as well as the determination to remain positive and motivated. I refuse to give up even when some days prove more challenging than others or when it seems everyone else is ignoring or exploiting me. It's like being stuck in thick mud with only enough strength left to keep from drowning while waiting for something solid enough to pull myself out of this situation.

But I remain hopeful that something positive will come along. I know that success won't happen overnight, but I'm willing to put in the work and keep trying until I achieve my goals.
