Nillion is a new Internet infrastructure for private storage, computing, and decentralization of data. It is a decentralized network but not layer 1 or blockchain.
Nillion uses a new innovative technology called Nil Message Compute (NMC). So Nillion allows nodes in a decentralized network to work in a unique, non-blockchain way, and Nillion represents a revolutionary leap from a predecessor technology known as Secure Multi-Party Computation (SMPC), unlike SMPC, network nodes do not have to communicate with one another. Unlike blockchain, nodes do not run immutable ledgers designed to store transaction data.
What are the potential use cases for Nillion?
NMC technology has many use cases in web3 and blockchain fields, and even for web2, such as: decentralized credit scoring, decentralized trusted execution environment, private/gated NFT, decentralized storage services, wireless Run fast AI/ML models on multi-chain wallets with centralized private keys and hidden data sets from web2, and perform private large-scale medical record research.
What is Nillion's background?
On December 12, 2022, Nillion closed a $20 million funding round led by Distributed Global with participation from AU21 Capital, Big Brain Holdings, Chapter One, GSR, Hashkey Capital and OP Crypto.
And nillion was selected as the 2022 autumn seed project of CoinList, the world's leading financing platform
