2022: A year full of stealth BUIDL for DZap.

As the year 2022 comes to a close, it's a good time to reflect on the events and developments that have shaped this past year. From several downfalls to technological advancements, the past year has been filled with both challenges and triumphs. Whether you've experienced great joy or faced difficult challenges, there's no denying that 2022 has been a year like no other. And for everyone at DZap, 2022 has been a year to BUIDL. People say “Bear market is to build” but we build whether the road is full of bears or bulls.

2022 brought many milestones for DZap. The journey of DZap started in July with a small vision of “Unifying multi-step processes in DeFi into ONE”.

Let’s go through our journey⚡️

July 2022

In July, DZap’s Founder -- Shivam Chopra called his whole team on a call to discuss a idea. His vision was to make DeFi user's life easy so that they have to go through multiple steps to complete a transaction. And guess what? the team got onboard instantly. And collectively we decided to name this project “DZap” - Decentralised Zapping.

And soon the whole team started with the work they were best at. Developers - developing, Marketers - marketing, researcher - researching, QA - testing, designer - designing. Hence BUIDLING.

August 2022

After a whole lot of research, we iterated our first batch of features:

  1. Batch Buy: To let users swap one token from multiple other tokens.

  2. Batch Sell: To let users swap multiple tokens to one token.

This might sound very naive but when you look into the process of swapping each token one by one when you have a batch to swap, you will know that the process is tedious, expensive and time consuming.

Hence, we started with the process of actually building the whole feature from scratch and released the project in closed beta for internal testing and reviewing.

October-December, 2022

Fast forward to October, we released the product after being audited by industry leading auditors. Hence, everyone could use DZap. And started improving our UI/UX according to user feedbacks.

Fun Fact: The UI you see today at dzap.io has been iterated 6 times.

We got a huge positive response from everyone who came to DZap to Batch swap tokens. One our community member told us that “DZap is the product I never knew I needed”. Because Batch swap not only save time and efforts, it saves upto 42% in gas fees for our users.

Major accomplishments of the year

  1. DZap went live on 4 chains: Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum and BSC.

  2. DZap processed more than $2M worth of transactions in 3 months i.e October-December.

  3. DZap is almost 3000 people strong on Twitter and almost 1000 people strong on Discord. That’s our community⚡️

  4. We closed some major partnerships with Polygon, Frontier, Shardeum, Arbitrum and many other. You will see the whole output later this year.

What’s in store for 2023?

While 2022 was the year of stealth building, 2023 will be the year to stealth deliver. We have a tons of features to release this year, and so many partnerships in line. You wanna know more about it? Ah ok! Let me give you a sneak peak --

  1. Team DZap is all set to release “Permisionless Decentralised DCA” probably by January end (tentative). YES! YES! You will be able to do DCA on multiple tokens at once in a single transaction verryyyy soon🥁

  2. DZap will be launched on a few more chains. Well, you have to wait and stay tuned to know which one🤭

  3. Our CMO has a whole plan set to incentivize and onboard more members to our community this year. It will be super funn.

There are many other announcements on our roadmap but I guess you have to wait to hear about them🥹 That’s all about it from our side.

Ending of the year.

Team DZap wishes everyone “A very Happy New Year”. May your year be filled with growth, happiness, love, joy and everything you wish for.

With love,
Team DZap⚡️
