Dear Web3 Family,

Web3.com has completed a successful month of March 2023, marked by early bird sales, on-chain domain name resolution, and free domain name airdrop campaigns. In this report, we will present our social media operations, partnerships and activities, website traffic, sales data, and product usage data. Furthermore, we will outline our future plans for Web3ite Pass, Web3 Space, and other activities.

Social Media Operations: We have made significant progress in our social media operations in March, with our Twitter followers increasing by 20K to a total of 26K, and Discord users increasing by 15K to 20K. In addition, we have successfully collaborated with 16 KOLs, including three English-speaking, six Chinese-speaking, and seven Korean-speaking KOLs.

Partnerships and Activities: We have successfully invited eight project partners to join Web3.com and held six AMA activities and 20 KOL lottery series. Moreover, we have organized a social community early bird medal activity, and five daily forwarding invitation activities.

Website Traffic: During the early bird period, we received a total of 6,000 website visits, with 5,900 new users and 11,000 page views. In total, we have had 99,000 activities with an average of 1.83 page views per person.

Sales Data: During the early bird period, we sold 1,434 Web3ite Passes, with 621 holding addresses, and the top 100 holding addresses holding 56.96% of the domain names.

Product Usage Data: We currently have 94 active homepages, with an effective creation rate of approximately 7%, and 23 reverse resolution addresses set up.

  • Social Page intended to give the Web3ite holder an access to a Web3 digital profile card, primarily targeting Web3 organizations, artists, KOLs, and other working professionals who demand Web3 networking and resources. We aim to guide domain holders to edit and amend the display content of their profile page and use it as an digital business card, such as linking it to social media introductions, sharing it with others through share cards, etc. Our display page is a substitute for platforms like Linktree, and we aim to work as a higher-quality alternative product for Web3 user group. However, many early bird users have not yet established this awareness. Some users have carefully filled in the content of the display page but have not shared or linked it to social media platforms. Some users who are also Linktree users have not yet fully adopted our display page as a replacement for their Linktree pages, and have instead added a Linktree link to their Web3ite display page.

  • On-chain domain
    The on-chain domain name feature was launched during the middle of the early bird period, which garnered attention and sparked discussion within the community, resulting in a slight uptick in sales. However, based on community feedback, many users still lack a comprehensive understanding of the on-chain use of domain names, and the number of reverse resolution addresses set up remains relatively low. Moreover, different tool products or DApps have varying levels of compatibility with domain name resolution, with some commonly used tools failing to adapt well to resolution, particularly reverse resolution. This issue has consequently impacted the usage and promotion of on-chain domain name functionality. We plan to address this by sorting out the compatibility of various tools and DApps for domain name resolution and promoting them through BD efforts. Additionally, for domains registered before the contract upgrade, a manual configuration of the forward resolution address is required, and setting up both forward and reverse configurations consumes approximately 10u of gas, which may serve as an obstacle to setting up the primary domain name.

Future Plans: We plan to optimize the registration process, iterate and optimize the Web3ite Pass display page functionality, and deploy it to multiple chains. We will launch the initial version of Web3 Space and establish it as a Web3 information aggregation portal, empowering Web3ite Pass to increase its attractiveness. Additionally, we plan to organize a flash sale, a formal launch, and an invite rebate mechanism.
