Aave V3 Has Officially Deployed on the Ethereum Mainnet the past January 27th, with several improvements, including gas fee optimization (reduces gas cost by 20 to 25%), a high-efficiency mode for increased capital efficiency, and more.
At the time of filing this report, Aave protocol is the world’s 4th-largest DeFi ecosystem, with $4.56 billion in total value locked (TVL), only dwarfed by Lido (TVL $8.03 billion), MakerDAO ($7.15 billion) and Curve ($4.72 billion), according to Defi Llama.

The ssv.network team is excited to give a pre-release announcement for the latest version of the SSV node.
Launching Shifu V2 is a significant milestone that builds on the completion and alignment of the official node specification. The upgraded SSV node now enables operators to conduct all the duties on the Beacon Chain, officially allowing the ssv.network nodes to participate in all duties used in Ethereum’s consensus.
Network will be reseted to ensure a smooth transition to the oncoming release of the new testnet version.
After the testnet reset, the SSV node will have more efficient communication that finally supports the long-awaited block proposing along with the rest of the required duties that validators perform on the Beacon Chain.
On Febrary 2nd, Ethereum developers gathered for ACDE call #154.
The ACDE calls are one of two bi-weekly meeting series where Ethereum developers discuss and coordinate changes to the execution layer of Ethereum. The other meeting series, ACD Consensus (ACDC) calls, focus on planning related to the consensus layer of Ethereum.
On this week call, developers discussed the timeline for public testnet launches of the Shanghai upgrade. They also shared updates on the progress being made to Cancun, the next upgrade after Shanghai, and specifically within the Cancun upgrade, progress on Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 4844.
