Hey there. Here’s the fifth roundup of the year ✊. An overview of the top updates coming from SenseiNode, including new services, product enhancements and team efforts. Stay tuned!
Gnosis Chain is one of the first Ethereum sidechains and has stayed true to its values.
SenseiNode is being part of the Geographic Diversity Program, an initiative aimed to expand the presence of the chain across the world and ensure the resilience and diversity of the network under the “be a force for decentralization” motto.
The goal of this program is to increase the global distribution and geographic diversity of Gnosis Chain validator nodes, mitigating the risks of correlated failures due to natural disasters or adversarial regulatory regimes.
You can check the actual State Of Decentralization in d14n.info, a real-time dashboard that measures decentralization of the Gnosis Chain and Ethereum networks
SenseiNode collaborated with Sura Gaming to initiate development on the Ronin Chain. Following a initial testing phase, we are excited to announce the successful deployment of their inaugural Validator Candidate into the Ronin Mainnet.
Sura Gaming is a startup with a solid technological base focused on gaming and management of gaming communities. It also runs the largest Web3 Gaming Guild for the hispanic market with over 62,5K active members, 1,000+ Scholars and a team of 25+ content creators & professors.
Ronin is an EVM blockchain crafted specifically for gaming; and developers building games with player-owned economies. Launched by Sky Mavis, the creator of Web3’s breakout title Axie Infinity.
Distributed Validator Technology enables multiple Node Operators to run distributed validators, decreasing single points of failure and providing important benefits across decentralization and diversity, infrastructure resilience, and security.
Lido conducted a pilot integration with Obol Network on the Goerli testnet. Eleven Lido node operators actively participated, and we had the opportunity to contribute to the development and testing of this cutting-edge integration as the only Node Operator in Latin America across groups 2 and 6 (in which we were actively coordinating the cluster).
The creation of the clusters was done via the Obol DV Launchpad followed by coordinated distributed key generation (DKG) ceremonies to create deposit data and private key shares of the validators. A distributed validator key is a group of BLS private keys that together operate as a threshold key for participating in proof-of-stake consensus. To create a distributed validator that can stay online despite a subset of its nodes going offline, the key shares need to be generated together.
The testing for Lido’s integration of Obol DVT has been ongoing for two months now, providing sufficient performance metrics about the clusters and the last step to test has been terminated, which is exiting the validators.
We’re happy to help shaping the future of DVT and its impact on the Ethereum ecosystem. ✊🌐
