What an incredible year it has been! 


In April 2022, we raised the banner of "Native Order" with a team of fewer than ten people. In less than eight months, we have grown into a community of over 2,000 members, covering more than half of the global jurisdiction and still growing. This year, we launched a voluntary effort to help crypto victims; produced a significant amount of web3 legal research and translation; organized over 100 successful sharing sessions, seminars, and events; formed our product and development team and launched several productized experiments; initiated the world's first "bottom-up" legislative action in the crypto world and developed related voting products; completed pre-seed financing; issued Generation Zero-NFT "Justice Eagle" and SBT "$LEX"; and met partners and comrades from all over the world who are committed to building an ordered and standardized crypto world... 


Of course, it has also been a crazy year. "Regulatory events" such as Luna, FTX, Three Arrow, Tornado Cash, and so on have been happening one after another. Some other notable data is that there were over 240 Rug Pull incidents in 2022, with an average of 1.5 projects running away per day; there were over 160 large-scale hacker attacks, with a total loss of over $3.6 billion; and the amount of crime in the global blockchain field was over $13.7 billion. 


These data constantly remind us of our mission. As we said when we launched LegalDAO, if evil people can gather together to become a force, so should righteous people. 


To all those who do evil in the crypto world, FUCK YOU! We are coming for you! Of course, we must also remember that we do not have the right to define "evil." The "legal standards" of the crypto world should always come from the bottom-up consensus of crypto citizens. 


In 2023, we will continue to work in the following directions:

• Make LegalDAO more "DAO-like." We will continue to improve the SBT system and build a system on SBT for proposing, voting on, and managing the treasury. Let the "DAO" show its power.

• "Democracy" + "Open Source." Native technical standards can be established in an open-source manner, and native legal standards can certainly do the same. We believe decentralized societies cannot rely on centralized, regional, and fragmented traditional legislation to establish order. Our deeper belief is that the authority of the law comes from democracy, and only a "law" built by global crypto citizens together is truly native.

• Productization efforts. We are not anarchism; we believe blockchain may be a better government. This requires us to ensure that this native order is not "empty" by building applications on the blockchain. We already have some plans, such as DeX, a reputation system on the chain; DeReg, a decentralized collective regulation product; and a pan-jurisdictional compliance product. We are also discussing more solutions with partners and community members in various fields every day.

• Anything valuable for building native order in the crypto world.

I have always idolized Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross. Telling the 19th-century world that war needs to follow humanitarian rules was absurd. Even today, there are still people who sneer at this. But the number of people saved by the Red Cross over the past century is immeasurable. More importantly, the existence of the Red Cross has always represented the glory of humanity, and even in the worst wars, there is still a chance for the light of society to shine.

LegalDAO represents the same thing. We are embracing the tide of Web3 and bravely using it to make the world a better place. But we refuse to be greedy and swallow everything up. We will proudly proclaim to the traditional world that the crypto world or Web3 is not a false concept invented by a few people to deceive everyone but a key transition that will genuinely drive humanity into the next era. We are truly striving for this.
