Organizations often look for the “best talent” in the market, yet they are not always able to get the most out of them. At the same time employees look for a job satisfaction in their particular role. I believe there is nothing like “best talent,” rather there is “best talent for a particular role.” It is an interesting science and it is interpreted very nicely in Mythological scriptures across the Globe in different religions. How ? Lets see.
There are three energies that every human being has: physical, mental, and emotional. When these energies are in balance, a person is able to function at their best. Similarly, all mythological text across the globe have majorly 3 main characters , Christianity has the Trinity , Greek Mythology has Odysseus, Hercules and Zeus. Hindu Mythology has Brahma , Vishu and Mahesh. When we look at idols and mythological stories, what do they symbolise ? Are they perhaps these three different types of characteristics or energies ? I believe this to be true .
By understanding these energies and what they represent, and how they should be utilized for a perfect balance , we can begin to see beyond the stories and myths and understand the deeper meaning.
Taking a example from Hindu scriptures ..
Brahma which is believed to be the Creator of the universe– It is said that Brahma creates the Universe from Nothingness .I believe this represents characteristics of a innovator or creative person ,who is always itching and wanting to think and create something new. Any personality which exhibits an abundance of this type of this energy or characteristics is a perfectly suited for a Product Management, R &D, Marketing and Content Creator type of roles for the Organization. All Artists exhibit this energy in plenty.
Vishnu — The preserver — Have you seen some kids, especially girls, have a unique habit of setting up everything in order .. i.e. Preserving it. — There is another quality of this energy — To get the job done without a desire for a credit. Like Krishna did in Mahabharata . Anyone who exhibits this energy in general in abundance would be perfect for a Solution Delivery, Line Management, Business Strategy or HR roles for the Organization. These roles demand thats things are managed perfectly by them , yet the team/ organisation gets the credit.
Shiva — The Destroyer rather the trouble-shooter — The one who has a solution to every problem , and even if requires, he wont even hesitate a reboot and restart. Just like what shiva does by rebooting the universe for a fresh start. The operations, support and finance guys as well as CEOs are the best-suited roles for anyone having an abundance of this energy. Whenever there is some issue in a running system — we all look for the Support guys for troubleshooting. The finance team brings put solutions for complex issues of revenue , tax etc and by chance if nothing else works we all look towards the CEO for a solution, which at times might seem harsh for the company but actually is just a fresh start.
When the prominent energy in any human intellect is properly utilised by the Organization the individual achieves what is called the “Job Satisfaction” and the Organization is able to grow and is able to retain Best of the talent.
Would love to have your thoughts on it .
