Hungry - A platform with a mission to make every restaurant menu delicious 😋
Bringing together the power of food influencers and NFTs.
“Hungry” enables restaurants to purchase Recipe NFTs of your favourite chefs and sell it on their menu under the chef’s name. Something like “Gordon Ramsey’s Chicken Curry”.
Almost all the small restaurants in the world suffers from one problem and that is no diversification in taste after a while. People get bored very quickly of their taste and it leads to shutting down of restaurants sooner (or later).
What if there was a way for restaurants to source different recipes from great chefs, bloggers, influencers and sell those recipes under their name. Not so bad, right ! There are almost 10M home cooks in India alone who have great family recipes which never see the light of the day outside of their family circle. What if that same recipe can be made by a restaurant and they can profit from them as well. A win-win for both, right?
Not only family recipes, there are some many food influencers coming on youtube and instagram right now who on constant basis make new and delicious recipes. But the hurdle here is that no-one wants to cook. What if that recipe can be used by a restaurant to make it and sell it. Whoa, won’t you feel more delicious finally able to taste the same recipe of your favourite food influencer.
The whole idea behind this is helping the restaurants to survive for long, along with opening up another revenue stream for food bloggers and influencers.
A platform will be a Recipe NFT trading platform where bloggers, chefs, home-makers can put up their recipes and connect their instagram and youtube numbers along with the locality and area (let say India). These Recipes will be the Non Fungible Tokens on the chain which can be purchased at a set price. These NFTs give the right to the owner to sell the recipe under the name of the influencer and benefit from their fan following as their customers. Restaurants can sign up and see these listings, their youtube following, instagram numbers etc. and purchase the recipe which will give them a right to sell the recipe under the influencer’s name on their menu. (Like Kabita’s Kitchen infamous palak paneer). Influencers can come up with the rate by themselves or go with the recommended rate based on their youtube/instagram numbers(which our platform will recommend).
Platform will take a commission on this transaction from the restaurant for facilitating this information to them.
General user can also buy these NFTs if they see the potential in the recipe and eventually sell it to a restaurant. People can bid for a recipe too and if the NFT owner is satisfied with an appropriate bid, the NFT will be transferred to the buyer.
People will have an option to vote for the recipes they find interesting and the restaurants in that area can see top voted recipes by the users of those area and can purchase the recipe rights and start selling (as there is already a demand based on the votes).
A separate app will be made for restaurant ordering through which we can track how many times that dish was ordered and there can be a commission on every dish ordered. This opens up a long lasting revenue stream for the food influencers.
I immensely believe that blockchain has a huge huge potential in coming 15-20 years (despite of bubble talks going on due to economic downturn). Digital ownership has been a major major problem since the advent of internet and NFTs solve those in a big big way. In the process, it has opened up vast earning potentials via opening up various revenue streams. I think the food market is under-penetrated and there is a huge gap in demand and supply here. It is the right time to jump in and fill the gap.
I want to create a lean and powerful team for this and I am raising funds to start on this. The high level fund utilisation will be as follows:
