Everybody in this world wants to try out something meaningful in their life. But if you are currently in a position where your thoughts, excuses or responsibilities are drowning you instead of helping you move forward, STOP! Take a deep breath, drink a glass of water, and sit down.
Take a piece of paper, jot down the things you want to do and the person you want to be (It is totally fine if you do not know!). Now, compare this to what you are doing in your life. If they match, you are well off. But if they don’t, stay with me for a while.
I need you to understand that your life is unique. It is a limited edition golden ticket to this one-time journey you get to experience. So would you rather spend your time experiencing this journey in regret or in happiness?
Charlie made the most out of his golden ticket. You can too!
If you are ready to be your true self, here are 3 effective ways to be more-like YOU!
It is essential to know who you are and what you want to be in your life. You might want to work on your personal, social or work life and try out things you always wanted to try. Therefore, keep a set of notes or a list of goals you want to achieve and do not wait for others’ validation, just do it!
After knowing yourself, it is important to express yourself. This will help you to know yourself better and determine what brings you happiness. Going after meaningful activities that allow you to express yourself as well as make you happy can act as a catalyst to your individual growth. This can include providing value to others, journaling, voicing out your thoughts, executing your strengths and much more. Therefore, expression of thoughts and ideas can effectively allow you to be more-like yourself.
Today, we live in a world where our opinions and decisions are affected, both positively and negatively, by our experiences with people in society. Therefore, we need to be aware of experiences that hold us back and make us a reflection of other people’s thought processes and not ourselves.
In addition to that, we need to break down all the myths created by the society. If somebody tells you that you are too old or too young or maybe not at the right age to express yourself, do not consider their words. Nobody can make those decisions for you. You are always at the right age to be yourself.
Personally, I would suggest that you spend some time daily listening to podcasts of famous social entrepreneurs like Jay Shetty and Gary Vee. Follow them on social media platforms and read their books. This will help you to feed yourself with positivity and restructure your current mentality to think more-like YOU.
