This deep dive aims to share more intricate details about BestPath and how it transforms intent resolution and marketplace coordination by leveraging AI for automated decision-making, multi-step transaction execution, and predictive optimization.

We’ll dissect its core components, analyze its role in bridging blockchain silos, and define its impact on BestPath Zen —The AI-Powered Marketplace for Financial Strategies/Pathfinders. But before discussing the marketplace, let’s try to understand the AI enablement behind BestPath.

BestPath AVS: Pre And Post AI

Before we begin, it’s important to note that before the AI enablement within BestPath AVS, the core stack was still way ahead of its time.

The early adopter and partners of Tria had access to BestPath AVS v1 months back, which was a breakthrough for the Intents marketplace working in collaboration with the core team @eigenlayer. Launched in Feb of last year along with close partners with the main aim to operate as a permissionless, chain-abstraction platform where users can interact with assets across multiple virtual machines (VMs) without needing specific wallets or gas tokens.

BestPath v1 was designed to bridge multiple ecosystems and partners, providing a common platform for them to work together. With BestPath v2, we've taken it further by making the platform compatible with agents. At its core, BestPath is a two-way street where AI agents use the platform through the TriaAI framework. In turn, BestPath leverages AI agents as liquidity providers and pathfinders to provide a seamless and efficient experience."

  • Modular Architecture: BestPath AVS incorporates Threshold Signature Schemes (TSS) and pluggable frameworks like Heuristic Logic and Action Validation (HLA) via EigenLayer. This setup enables secure execution of complex transactions across EVM and non-EVM chains.

  • Pareto-Optimal Incentive Structure: The marketplace within BestPath utilizes competitive models to ensure operators implement the most efficient strategies. This optimizes cost and speed and ensures real-time liquidity sourcing and transaction sequencing without human intervention.

  • Chain-Abstraction Techniques: By abstracting away chain-specific complexities, BestPath allows users to interact with dApps across different VMs (like EVM and MoveVM) without manually switching between networks or conducting cross-chain operations. This abstraction simplifies asset management and liquidity-unified experiences for users.

BestPath v2 retains the same core features as v1 but with a key focus on creating a smoother user experience. We aimed to reduce the time spent understanding transaction processes, allowing users to prioritize their primary goal: accessing allVM liquidity efficiently. To address challenges from v1, we integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the system. This upgrade enhances existing workflows and strategically applies AI where it adds the most value—resulting in the improved, user-centric BestPath v2.

Tria’s Core team has been working on AI Pathfinders since Q4 of 2024 alongside various partners like Talus, Netmind, Skynet, AggLayer, Axel, Nuffle, Eigen Layer, etc - along with various upcoming partners in the coming months.

The core existence of AI in BestPath AVS starts with Pathfinders. Pathfinders in the BestPath AVS form dynamic micro-markets of modular interoperability stacks. These micro-markets enable a competitive ecosystem where solvers, DeFi protocols, fast-finality guarantors, transport layers, liquidity pools, relayers, paymasters, and other specialized actors engage in capturing, routing, and executing user intents across heterogeneous environments.

For an everyday user - the above seems too complex to understand. End-goal is to allow users to have access to allVM liquidity and users do not need to know how the system in place to achieve their individual goal. AI enablement in BestPath v2 abstracted the technical overheads even further.

When a user expresses an intent—a simple asset transfer or a complex cross-chain transaction—AI agents within BestPath AVS, known as "Pathfinders," rapidly analyze current market conditions.
