Mendi Finance will rebrand to Malda this Thursday (Feb 20th). This marks another major step in our transition, here’s a look at the changes that will be introduced in the rebranding.
New Name on Socials (ie: X, Discord, DeBank, etc.): Malda (prev. Mendi Finance)
Tag: @malda_xyz
NOTE: We are in contact with X/Twitter support to minimize downtime of our verified checkmark.
Your lending and borrowing positions are unaffected by the migration—Mendi contracts will remain live forever.
When Malda mainnet launches, you’ll have the option to migrate. Keeping your positions open until then is beneficial, as migration will be incentivized on a time-weighted basis.
A migrator UI will be provided to facilitate a simple migration. mendi.finance frontend will remain available for the foreseeable future.
$MENDI will remain tradable on the market until the $MALDA TGE. $MENDI to $MALDA migration will officially take place at $MALDA TGE.
$MENDI and staked $MENDI can be migrated over directly, eliminating the need to unstake before migrating.
Staking rewards won’t be affected at all until Malda mainnet. After the Malda mainnet, stakers will continue to receive oLYNX rewards (according to RFC 11) and boosted Malda points.
Expect TGE to happen a couple months after Malda mainnet launch.
$MENDI trading will remain live until Malda TGE, along with Bribes on Lynex pool (according to RFC 11).
LP providers will be notified in timely manner to withdraw their liquidity before the POL is withdrawn (which will only occur at $MALDA TGE). $MALDA TGE is expected to happen couple of months after Malda mainnet launch. After withdrawing their LP, users can manually migrate their $MENDI tokens to $MALDA and then re-add their LP for $MALDA.
As always, we are open to any suggestions on this matter on Discord, for more convenient solutions.
