雨天：For those that are not familiar, can you briefly describe Concordium and what problems you are aiming to solve?

Ernest：Concordium is a permission-less, enterprise-grade, decentralised, layer 1 blockchain. It aims to be the platform for the Future Economy.The unique problem that Concordium aims to tackle is are centred in Privacy and Identify on chain.Concordium is a layer 1 blockchain similar to Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche and others but it is unique in that it has an Identity Layer built into the core of its protocol.This is a very important feature of Concordium because it enables people to transact with transparency and openness, while still enabling use cases built on top of it to be aligned with regulations.

雨天：How does the CCD token function within the platform and why is it needed?

Ernest：When we I say regulation Concordium means regulation in a wider sense, and not just from a government. Regulation refers to the rules of interaction between two parties transacting with each other.The CCD Token is the native token of the Concordium Blockchain.It is used to pay transaction fee’s to Bakers Delegators and other stakeholders who secure the network.And it is also used to power the usecases that are built on top of Concordium such as Regulated Defi and Regulated Metaverse.

Ernest：The Concordium blockchain itself is live and running. The Genesis block of the main net was created in June 2021. There are now active Nodes “baking” blocks. Smart Contracts are now also live this came after the 4th Testnet

Ernest：We have now begun to see a number of usecases building on top of the Concordium including: - SpaceSeven (an NFT Marketplace) - Bictory (a DEX and NFT Marketplace) Concordium has also announced major partnerships with - Geely Holdings - Swvl Mass Transportation in Dubai

雨天：What is your strategy regarding attracting more users to your protocol?

Ernest：Concordium is placing a lot of focus on its unique concept of Regulated Defi. It believes that for Defi to be taken seriously and to gain wider mass adoption by larger enterprises across the world there must be a regulated framework that governs how we transact.That is why Concordium has partnered with Verum Capital to create the Reg-DeFi Labs.Which will empower individuals to explore Concordium’s powerful and unique attributes such as the ID Layer to experiment and create new forms of Decentralised Exchanges, Stable-coins DAO’s and other DeFi usecases.

雨天： Let’s talk about the current landscape of other projects doing something similar. What separates you from some of the competitors?

Ernest：Many other projects tend to not tackle the issue of Identity and Privacy head-on like Concordium has, that is because it is a really difficult thing to do.Most L1 blockchains like Ethereum, Solana and chains built on top of Polkadot using Substrate do NOT have an I.D layer built in their protocol, which means you have to build your ID infrastructure on a layer 2.Also the privacy of transactions and the pseudonymous nature of many blockchains is not good enough for large enterprises.Finally the focus on being anonymous rather than insuring you have Privacy is also a big barrier to wider adoption of blockchain technology. Concordium has taken its time to address each of these areas in unique and comprehensive way.

Ernest：The Concordium team has a wealth of experience from a wide range of areas.Concordium’s CEO Lone Fons Schroeder is also a Director on the board of Volvo and is on the board of IKEA. She has a wealth of experience and connections to large corporate enterprises.Concordium’s founder Lars Seier Christensen is the founder of Saxo Bank.Concordium’s blockchain protocol was created by Torben Pedersen one of the most well known people in the world.

Ernest：Success for Concordium will be driven by creating a great developer experience and continuing to focus on partnerships and getting the message out there about it.Some of the biggest risks come from making sure we keep the momentum going and continue to engage with government regulators in a meaningful way to help them understand we are here to help them evolve.

Ernest：Concordium aims to focus on improving its core blockchain with a number of exciting upgrades to the protocol this year. Also bringing delegation to its Consensus protocol which will be coming really soon. Also Concordium is excited to have been listed on 4 exchanges in 3 months and this something Concordium wishes to continue. It is important for Concordium to get its CCD Token in the hands of many so that they can be empowered to be a part of the ecosystem.

Ernest：Concordium is excited by DAO’s, regulated DeFi and the Metaverse there are a number of areas that could also benefit from the ID Layer which includes digital voting and governance.
