1 : Ecosystem presentation

Starkware is a company which counts in its team, about sixty people, some of whom already had a lot of experience in crypto.
Starkware offers 3 products:

• Starknet : is a decentralized ZK-Rollup operating as an L2 network over Ethereum, where any dApp can achieve unlimited scale for its computation, without compromising Ethereum’s security.
• StarkEx : Paid infrastructure service used for specific customers (companies/applications)
• Cairo : is a programming language for writing provable programs, where one party can prove to another that a certain computation was executed correctly.

Starknet, based on Zk technology, is currently in alpha version. There are already nearly a hundred Dapps in development some of which are already in testnet.

Notice : First of all, to know that no token is available yet. Then, due to network congestion, transactions may take a few minutes.

Before exploring this ecosystem, we will first start with these two essential steps:

Wallet

We will start by installing ArgentX. To do this, follow the official Argent X tutorial here to create an account and get your address. Once you have your first address, make sure to set up the account on Goerli Testnet.

Braavos (@myBraavos)

Braavos is a friendly self-custodial wallet for managing your funds and NFTs as well as connecting to dApps. We will start by installing ArgentX. Get your Braavos wallet here.

Bridge

You can, thanks to Stargate, bridge your ETH from your Ethereum address to your Starknet address (on ArgentX)

  StarkSwap is an AMM built on StarkNet, the public ZK-Rollup. Because of the underlying infrastructure Starkswap is built on, users will enjoy lightning fast trading at significantly cheaper costs (initially gas-less) while still benefiting from the security of layer 1 Ethereum.
