Crypto Rumble: In-Game Economic Model Introduction
December 23rd, 2024

Crypto Rumble is a Web3 game that combines card RPG mechanics with match-3 puzzle gameplay, powered by the Zypher Network game engine. With its engaging game design and lightweight gameplay, Crypto Rumble offers an immersive gaming experience. Leveraging an AI Bot game editor, it provides players with open-world autonomy to explore Web3 in a gamified manner.

Gameplay Overview

The ultimate goal of Crypto Rumble is to defeat the evil Boss. At the start of each game, players must select three heroes from their hero pool to form their team and equip items from their inventory to enhance specific attributes.

The game uses a turn-based combat system. During the player's turn, match-3 mechanics are employed to charge the heroes' attacks. Each match triggers attacks from the heroes on the Boss. The more tiles players match in a single move, the higher the damage inflicted on the Boss. Players must defeat the Boss before running out of moves, or they will lose the game.

By engaging in gameplay, players can earn rewards, including $GOLD tokens, $CR tokens, and experience points (EXP).

Game Modes

Crypto Rumble features three distinct game modes: PvE, World Boss, and PvP.

PvE Mode

In PvE mode, players battle AI-controlled enemies to complete missions and dungeon challenges. This mode emphasizes character growth and equipment enhancement, allowing players to earn experience points, in-game currency ($Gold), and other rewards while unlocking higher-level content. It’s ideal for players who enjoy strategy and character development.

World Boss Mode

World Boss mode is a global cooperative and competitive mode where players team up to take down a powerful World Boss. Rewards are distributed based on individual damage rankings, with top players earning rare items and $CR tokens. Players can also exchange points for additional rewards, showcasing their skills and gaining a sense of achievement.

PvP Mode

PvP mode offers a competitive arena where players face off against each other in a damage-output challenge against the same Boss. Players use $Diam tokens as stakes, with the winner claiming the pot. This mode emphasizes real-time strategy and is suited for players who thrive on competition.

Economic Model

Crypto Rumble introduces several types of in-game assets, including Mystery Boxes, $CR tokens, $GOLD tokens, and $Diam tokens.

1.Mystery Box Assets

Mystery Boxes are the primary way to obtain heroes and items in the game. These come in two types: Hero Boxes and Item Boxes. Opening these boxes grants players random heroes and equipment of varying quality. Unopened boxes can also be traded in the marketplace, and players can purchase them using $Diam tokens.

In the early stages of the Crypto Rumble ecosystem, players can participate in a presale to gain whitelist access and qualify for Linea Mainnet testing activities, with a reward pool of up to $50,000 USD. Only 1,000 whitelist spots are available. Mystery Boxes will later be sold in limited quantities by the project team.

2.$CR Token

The $CR token is the core currency of the game, used for purchasing heroes, equipment, and other items. It also serves as a key tool for community governance. Players can use $CR to upgrade heroes and equipment or participate in governance decisions.

$CR tokens can be earned through PvE, PvP, and World Boss modes. Additionally, players can stake their points or participate in in-game hero staking to earn $CR rewards.

As the backbone of the game’s ecosystem, $CR supports market trading and asset transfers, forming the foundation for the game’s economic cycle. A portion (30%) of the total $CR tokens will be allocated to Zypher Miner joint mining activities. These are based on the Proof of Useful Work (PouW) consensus, rewarding players and miners for generating ZKP (Zero-Knowledge Proofs).

3.$Gold Token

$Gold is the game’s basic currency, primarily used to enhance hero attributes, upgrade skills, and improve equipment. Players can earn $Gold by defeating Bosses in PvE mode and completing daily tasks. Additionally, $Gold can be exchanged using $GP tokens.

$Gold is tied to daily operations and player progression. It is non-tradable and cannot be exchanged for $CR tokens or traded on the market.

4.$Diam Token

$Diam tokens are designed as stakes for PvP mode. Players bet $Diam tokens to participate in matches, with the winner taking the pot. They are also used to purchase Mystery Boxes, which serve as the primary way to obtain heroes and equipment.

After the game’s official launch, players will rely on $Diam tokens to buy Mystery Boxes, adding a layer of competitiveness to PvP mode.

Three-Token Model

The three-token model effectively prevents inflation issues that may arise in single-token systems by separating functions to meet specific needs in various scenarios. This multi-layered token design appeals to a wide range of players: casual players can focus on growth and exploration, while competitive players can pursue intense challenges and rewards.

By maintaining a balance between player engagement, reward distribution, and consumption, the three-token model fosters a self-sustaining economic flywheel, driving the continuous growth and prosperity of the game ecosystem.

Backed by Zypher’s advanced infrastructure and integrated with the ZK technology, Crypto Rumble is poised to redefine Web3 gaming and bring a new wave of gaming to players.
