Crypto Rumble is a Web3 based RPG + match-3 game built on the Zypher Network game engine. The ultimate goal for players is to defeat the game's evil bosses.
Before each game session, players must select three heroes from their hero pool as team members and choose various equipment from their inventory to enhance certain attributes of the heroes. In the game, battles between the player’s team and the boss take place in a turn-based mode. During the player’s turn, they use match-3 mechanics to charge their heroes’ attacks. Whenever tiles are cleared, the heroes take turns attacking the boss. The more tiles cleared in a move, the higher the damage dealt to the boss. The player must defeat the boss before running out of moves; otherwise, the game ends in failure.
Heroes and bosses in the game have unique class attributes that interact with one another, creating strengths and weaknesses. Triggering advantageous matchups significantly boosts heroes' attack effectiveness. Therefore, players must strategically arrange their team composition based on hero attributes. Additionally, heroes have levels and qualities; higher-level and higher-quality heroes provide better attack effects and greater rewards. Hence, understanding hero development rules is crucial before starting the game.
Hero Upgrade Rules
Heroes are the core characters in the game, each possessing level attributes ranging from Level 1 to Level 100. Similarly, every hero has a quality attribute, divided into three grades: Common, Elite, and Legendary.
Hero Levels
In Crypto Rumble, hero levels range from 1 to 100. As heroes are upgraded, additional skills and traits are unlocked, significantly enhancing their overall combat effectiveness.
Upgrading heroes requires experience points (EXP) and in-game tokens, $GOLD. EXP is an essential resource for hero upgrades and can be earned by participating in battles. $GOLD, the in-game incentive token, can be acquired through gameplay, completing tasks, or exchanged using $GP and $Diam in the shop.
The higher the hero level, the more EXP and $GOLD are required for the next upgrade. Detailed information about the required EXP and $GOLD for each level can be found in the game.
Hero Quality
In Crypto Rumble, heroes are classified into three quality tiers: Common, Elite, and Legendary. Upgrading from Common to Elite requires two identical heroes and consuming a certain amount of $Diam (a blockchain-rechargeable asset). Once a hero reaches Legendary quality, they gain star levels ranging from 1 to 5 stars. Star upgrades significantly increase the hero’s attack power percentage-wise and require combining three identical heroes and consuming a specified amount of $Diam.
Unlocking Greater Rewards and Power
As players upgrade their heroes’ levels and qualities, they can explore richer resources and rewards within the Crypto Rumble universe, gaining greater influence and authority in the game.
Crypto Rumble is set to launch in November 2024 on the Zypher Layer 3 chain, Zytron Pioneer, with plans for asset airdrops to active users on Linea Mainnet and Ethereum Mainnet. Players can participate in the "Treasure Ark" campaign by staking relevant assets to earn mystery box rewards: https://ark.zypher.network/.
For every 0.5 ETH / 0.5 wstETH / 0.5 ezETH / 0.5 STONE / 0.5 weETH staked, players will receive one Crypto Rumble Hero Mystery Box. A total of 10,000 mystery boxes will be distributed, each containing heroes that enhance a player’s in-game team power. There is no limit on the number of boxes a single player can claim; staking and collection continue until supplies run out.
