The UK’s National Crime Agency is launching a new unit dedicated to cryptocurrency and digital asset crime. The National Crime Agency's "cryptocurrency team" will initially include five officers dedicated to "active cryptocurrency remittances." As part of the National Cybercrime Unit's "Crypto Squad," investigators "will work to proactively conduct cryptocurrency remittance investigations using the right tools and capabilities to target UK-based subjects," according to a job advertisement posted on the government's website.
