Mind-Blowing Startups I’ve Built in the Past - Medical Devices & 3D Bio-Food Printers

Since age 15, I’ve been serial building frontier science technology projects, each one larger than the last. Here’s a breakdown of my journey:

In 10th grade I built AloeAid, a medical device startup focused on wound healing, burn care, & self-adhesive medical bandages

• Spent both summers of 2018 & 2019 working 40hrs per week, for 6 weeks at the University of Houston Environmental Engineering Lab, learning basic lab techniques & doing bacteria transfer under post-doctorate Hang Nguyen.
• Converted my learnings into building a medical device (AloeAid) that combined lyophilized aloe vera gel with anti-microbial chitosan to provide relief to 1st and 2nd-degree burns. Built a prototype MVP, filed a provisional patent, became an international semi-finalist, and won the NSF project pitch

In 11th grade, I built Dropless Dropaids - A Pharmaceutical Precision Eye Drop Medical Device Technology Company

• Youngest Bioventures cohort winner at the Texas Medical Center. Pitched and joined a med-tech startup founded by an opthalmologist (Dr. Spencer Obie) along with three Baylor of College post-doctorate researchers.
• Went through a 10-week, immersive experience of translating patented research technology towards commercial stages, learning about life-science regulatory frameworks & eye disease market, working in J&J Innovation Labs, and most importantly - the power of stories to convey the power of technology to save the lives of people. Our team won the final pitch competition and I internally calcified my life goal to chase value-creation and entrepreneurship in the most, impactful industries

In 12th grade I built, Jois Food Tech - Industrial-Scale 3D Bioprinting Technology to Change the World of Digital Bits and Sustainable Physical Atoms

• New manufacturing technology offers a better alternative to design proteins and meat from the ground up with new sustainable ingredients (plant protein & leghemoglobin, cell-based enzymes & transglutaminase, hydrogels, mycelium, etc.), enabling a new generation of healthier, slaughter-free meat - from plant/cell-based pork belly to turkey. To save the planet from environmental destruction/climate change, we need to change how we consume food.
• I ended up becoming a finalist for the MIT-Rabobank Food and Agribusiness competition, Hong Kong Cocoon Venture Pitch, met the CEO of Nestle, became a top 6 finalist at Buhler Startup Day in Switzerland, and almost went through my first successful M&A

Crypto & Metaverse Rabbit-Hole

While in NY this summer, my journey radically changed - I was at a roof-top party where everyone only spoke the language of web3:

Quite soon after, I fell into the crypto/Twitter rabbit hole:

1. Learned Solidity, Ether.js, built Oracles on CryptoZombies and flash loans on Aave
2. Dropped out of UT Austin after getting accepted in Launch House LA web3 accelerator and On Deck Deep-Tech
3. Launching my utility social token $AJMIAMI to move to Miami, recruit, and build the world’s largest deep-tech DAO
