In the next few months, the Jiangbei section of Metro Line 7, the southern end of line 9, the rear section of line 3, the rear section of line 10 and the airport express (line 19) will also be opened successively. Before the Hangzhou Asian Games, the total mileage of Hangzhou Metro network will reach 516 kilometers.

Gather all lines 1-10 in advance
Across the country, there are not many cities in Jiqi Metro Line 1-10. Except Hangzhou, there are only Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu.
In fact, few people know that according to the urban rail transit network planning of Hangzhou prepared in 2008, Hangzhou originally planned to build lines 1-10 in 2050, forming a network of 10 lines with a total mileage of 440km.
Although the rail transit network planning of Hangzhou has undergone many revisions since 2008, with many new lines and the direction of some lines adjusted, in a sense, Hangzhou has gathered lines 1-10 in advance.

Airport Express named line 19
In addition to line 1-10, line 16, Hangzhou Haicheng intercity and Shaoxing Metro Line 1, a new metro line 19, the airport express, will be opened in Hangzhou before the Hangzhou Asian Games this year.
Compared with ordinary metro lines such as line 1 and line 2, the train of line 19 runs faster and has larger station spacing. This express line, which runs through the central urban area of Hangzhou and connects transportation hubs such as West Railway Station, east railway station, Xiaoshan International Airport and future science and Technology City, can lead Hangzhou Metro in speed.
Therefore, for Hangzhou Yuncheng, Xiaoshan science and technology city and other plates far away from the city center, line 19 will benefit these plates more. For example, hangteng future community near the west railway station and Binwang Yating near Xiaoshan Higher Education Park Station, it will be more convenient to take line 19 in the future.
For the hardbound new house in hangteng future community, the upper limit average price is 36100 yuan / m3, and a Longhu Tianjie will be built. The distance between Binwang Yating and Xiaoshan Higher Education Park station is about 800 meters, and the upper average price of hardbound new houses is 28500 yuan / m3.
With line 19, in the future, residents living in these blocks and communities can reach the city center and other blocks of Hangzhou faster and more conveniently, shorten the distance between urban blocks, and establish a fast passage between multiple transportation hubs in Hangzhou to improve travel efficiency.
Hangzhou will build an express system
In the future, Hangzhou will also build an express line system to improve the travel efficiency of key functional blocks, realize the rapid connection between the core urban area and key blocks such as the science and innovation corridor in the west of the city and Qiantang District, build a one hour traffic circle in the city, and support the spatial structure of Hangzhou’s networked metropolis.
Why build an express system?
This is because before the Hangzhou Asian Games, a planned rail transit network matching the international development of Hangzhou will be basically formed. In the follow-up, the rail transit in Hangzhou will strengthen and improve the new problems in the process of urban development, such as the difficulty of long-distance travel that is difficult to solve by ordinary subway.
Therefore, in order to support the new urban spatial pattern of Hangzhou, Hangzhou needs to build a more efficient rail express network, build an express system, connect important external transportation hubs and public centers, and realize 30 minute rail access between the closely linked Star City and the core urban area.

The so-called ordinary line refers to the subway lines 1, 2, 4 and 5 familiar to Hangzhou citizens. At present, many ordinary lines have been built in Hangzhou, covering the city center, future science and Technology City, Xiaoshan, Binjiang, Qiantang and other areas.
According to the principle of “cluster integration”, Hangzhou will strengthen the common line, improve the common line system, coordinate with Hangzhou’s cluster spatial structure, multi-level functional center system and important functional blocks, form a multi hub pattern, promote the development of cluster integration, and create a higher density urban common line network.
