TL;DR: Floppy will be a free to play DAW/FPS fostering a community where artists, fans, and collectors alike can find a home together as co-creators.

Floppy is an FPS (First Person Sampler) 3D environment that players will use to interact with our DAW (Decentralized Audio Workstation). This DAW virtual experience is modeled after contemporary digital audio workstations with its own old-school spin, ready to be skinned and styled to every release. Floppy is free to play for everyone with a desktop browser.

In addition to the music production platform, we will also be releasing sample packs from curated artists to be unlocked for community use. In the case of DROP 01, once all 1000 collectibles are unlocked, anyone can hop in-game and produce with the respective samples. The collectors who unlock and hold these FLOPPY sample NFTs (ERC-721)  will accrue white label NFTs (ERC-1155), which can be used in-game to press a dubplate of anything users record in Floppy’s DAW. This is only the beginning of the collector-to-creator pipeline.

We hope to foster a community around creativity, filling in the gaps between artists, fans, and collectors, allowing us all to step into a new economy of art and play as co-creators. This is with the intention to enable users to tangibly capture the value of the culture they generate.  We want our platform to serve as a stress-free and entertaining introduction to a niche Web3 environment, no matter a user’s depth of blockchain or music production know-how.
