Yesterday afternoon, on the Azra Games Twitter Space, James Zhang, CEO of Concept Art House, and his team member participate in a conversation with the Azra Games team about operations and design in the web3 space. In the field of Web3, both CAH and Azra Games are constantly advancing on the road of exploration. Creating epic games requires marvelous partners. CAH are very happy to cooperate with AzraGames. Let's take a look at the details of yesterday's conversation.
First of all, let's introduce the host and guests of this event. The host is Ken Walton from Azra Games. The guests are the founder and CEO of CAH - James Zhang, the investment advisor - Michel Chang, and two other members of the CAH team - Neel Upadhye and Travis Banks.
Ken Walton: Like other blockchain games, Azra Games is committed to developing high-quality NFTs and gaming experience. Azra Games' NFT is called PFP. Could you tell us more about NFT projects CAH has participated in?
James Zhang: We have participated in many NFT projects, and CAH has also been working with companies in game industry. We are the first batch of real NFT publisher, and we fill the gap between the brand of digital assets and the fans who love NFT. When AAA artwork enters the NFT market, if it is handed over to a low-quality team, it will destroy the value of the IP itself.
As a professional NFT producer, all the works we have produced so far are of AAA level, and the team know how to take advantage of NFTs in an innovative way, and also has a good understanding of game development due to more than ten years of experience in the game industry.
At present, we have participated in several world-renowned projects, such as: Officially Licensed Olympic NFT Badge, Kolectiv Trading Platform Annual NFT and Frank Miller Sin City 30th Anniversary NFT. At the same time, we also have our own loyal fans. They love those high-quality NFTs we create.
We consider ourselves to be pioneers of Web 3, and 98% of thing we do now is related to Web 3 and gaming. There are many AAA projects and these projects are very time consuming. The first evolution of AAA games is mobile games, and the next evolution is blockchain games. I believe that blockchain games can be seen on PS5 soon.
Michel Chang: When I was working at EA, the original development fund for Angry Birds was only $500,000, and we will now use all the $1.5 million raised for game development, and we will definitely be able to develop higher quality games.
James Zhang: If use the traditional game budget model, it would take millions of dollars to develop a AAA game. Top modelers, top artists are very expensive, and the Azra team has a lot of great staff who we are proud to partner with. Many talented artists are working on their own NFT projects. Some have earned money, and some have not. Therefore, whether or not to hire enough artists is also a problem that the game project initiators needs to consider. Many PS5 games or games like League of Legends have teams of 20-30 people, but it is difficult for blockchain game projects to cobble together a 10-person art team. That's why I think the Azra project can stand out.
Michael Chang: What we have always wanted to convey to the audience is that we are building a mature game team capable of creating games that have both monetization features and high-quality gaming experiences. We want our games to be fun, immersive, and at the same time allow players to earn cash. At the same time, we also hope to face more challenges and demands in six month or a year, so that our game can be improved to a higher level.
James Zhang: When we create these things, buyers want to be able to buy the art directly, so it's better to create something that we can be proud of and want to own.
Neel Upadhye: Unlike other projects, PFP is not just NFT, not just a one-time purchase of art. It includes the genesis explorers, the core characters of the first game, and due to its special status, we intend to call this collection the Genesis Collection. These characters are explorers who cross the edges of a brand new unexplored galaxy. The core of their exploration game is to create the most epic units in the entire game.
Genesis explorers was inspired by Joss Whedon's Fireflies. Star Wars, Star Trek, and Marvel DC can remain popular after a very long time, which is why we also want to create our own original IP. NFT technology can theoretically make them exist forever, and we hope to make these NFTs more valuable through storytelling.
For now, the future of Web3 gaming will involve interoperability between blockchains and sub-chains, which allows developers to develop specific and customized games for their target audience. Through distributed ledger technology, gamers and developers will witness the emergence of fairer rewards and higher levels of play together. At the same time, let us look forward to a better future for CAH and Azra Games!
