Welcome to our blog post about Kaira's monetization models! In the world of Web3 and LenseVerse, decentralized social networks are revolutionizing the way we interact with content and each other. At Kaira, we're passionate about ensuring that content creators and their audiences are fairly compensated for their contributions. That's why we've developed a range of innovative monetization models that enable users to earn rewards for their engagement with the platform.
In this blog post, we'll explore each of these models in detail and explain how they work. So whether you're a content creator, a casual user, a memer, or just curious about the future of social media, read on to discover how Kaira is leading the way in Web3 monetization!
In traditional social media platforms, “like” and other forms of engagement play a crucial role in getting more visibility for a post. However, with boosting, Kaira takes this concept to the next level by allowing users to invest in a post's visibility and reward the content creator.
In Kaira's boosting feature, users first stake $KAI tokens to gain Boost Power, which they can use this power to boost content and provide visibility to the post. Boosters receive a percentage of the post's earnings in return for their boost, incentivizing them to choose the content they believe will perform well. With the boosting feature, Kaira is changing the way social media engagement works, creating a more decentralized and equitable system for content monetization.
When users boost a post, they choose a percentage of their Boost Power to allocate to that post. They can choose 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, or 100%. Boost Power, which operates similarly to “mana” in games, gradually depletes as users make boosts. However, it refills over time, within 24 hours.
The percentage of Boost allocated directly affects the amount of token rewards users can earn. For example, allocating 100% of Boost Power to a post uses all the daily Boost Power, resulting in the maximum reward allocation for the post. In other words, the higher the percentage of Boost allocated, the higher the reward allocation.
With the boosting system, users choose the posts they believe to be of high quality and will receive high interaction, instead of boosting each post. Because the more interaction a boosted content gets, the more Curator Reward the booster gets.
The Creator Reward is earned when your content is boosted by other users, and each boost directs a portion of the reward pool to that specific post. This incentivizes users to create high-quality content.
On the other hand, Curator Rewards are given to the users who boost a post and help it get more visibility and interaction. The more boost a post receives and the earlier it is boosted with a higher percentage, the more Curator Rewards can be earned.
This encourages users to discover and boost the most valuable content early on for greater rewards. Our goal is to motivate users to find and create the best content, rewarding them for their efforts.
Social Farming is a unique feature on the Kaira platform that allows users to invest in their favorite influencers by staking $KAI tokens. When users stake $KAI tokens on a profile, they receive a percentage of the rewards generated from the social activity of the influencers they support. This system incentivizes users to promote their favorite influencers and enables influencers to increase their visibility on the platform. This creates a win-win scenario where influencers gain more exposure, and users can earn rewards for supporting their favorite creators.
For example, let's say you're a big fan of Chris and you regularly engage with his posts on Kaira. With Social Farming, you can take your support to the next level by staking KAI tokens on his profile. This not only helps Chris gain more visibility on the platform but also enables you to earn rewards from his social activity. By investing in Chris, you can be a part of his success and enjoy the benefits of his popularity.
Kaira's innovative approach to content monetization challenges the status quo of the Web2 social ecosystem, where centralized platforms profit from users' data and content. With Creator and Curator Rewards, Social Farming, and Boosting features, Kaira empowers content creators and curators to take control of their digital identities and earn fair rewards for their contributions.
By providing multiple ways to monetize social interactions, Kaira creates a sustainable and engaging ecosystem for its users. Its decentralized and equitable ownership economy is pioneering a new era in social media on the Web3, aiming to lead the way for the future of content creation.
