The time has finally come: we are glad to announce that Orbit is officially live on Polygon!
Over the past several months, we have worked relentlessly to ship the best version of Orbit, the automation platform for Concentrating Liquidity, starting from Uniswap V3.
Smart contracts have been improved and optimized, novel features have been introduced, and the User Interface has been updated.
The Beta-testing Program has proved highly successful. We collected precious feedback provided by more than 250 Users. The first 30 Beta-testers have been awarded the limited edition of “Orbit Beta Tester NFT v1.0”. It will provide the owners with several benefits, such as an exclusive Discord channel with access to reserved content, calls with the team regarding new possible implementations, early access to new features before their public release, and more coming utilities.
Moreover, we completed the audit process and addressed the final findings, reviewing the code and part of the protocol logic.
All the aforementioned activities have paved the way for Orbit to open the gates of Concentrated Liquidity.
This new paradigm, introduced by Uniswap V3 in May 2021, made Liquidity Providing much more efficient and potentially profitable.
However, it has become a time-consuming and complex activity, which often requires active management of the positions, thus preventing too many ordinary DeFi users from effectively using it.
Orbit is a necessary layer to scale LPing, facilitating execution and automation of strategies for liquidity providers and aiming to make DeFi simpler and widely available to anybody.
In particular, we enable to quickly deploy, automate, combine and monitor structured strategies with total flexibility, abstracting away any operational complexity for any token pair and ranges.
Thus liquidity providers can now focus on assessing risk-reward strategies, effortlessly combining operations among different platforms, and tracking the aggregated returns.
The first version of Orbit integrates Uniswap V3. Still, as Concentrated Liquidity gets adopted by more and more DeFi protocols, we are poised to capitalize on this opportunity and become the go-to platform for liquidity management in web3.
Improvements from the Beta version
We implemented several UI and UX improvements to make Orbit as intuitive as possible, removing unnecessary complexities and friction.
The following represent some of the major updates:
This is just the beginning. More features to come!
In the future, the team will deliver more improvements and integrate new DeFi protocols.
The main goal is to provide the final user with all the tools to create flexible strategies and hedge against Impermanent Loss smoothly, especially while out-of-range.
Moreover, as stated above, the Concentrated Liquidity paradigm is spreading across several platforms and chains. Orbit will capitalize more and more on this opportunity over time, and we believe that, with the support of our fantastic Community, it can become the go-to platform for liquidity management in DeFi.
What to expect from September on Orbit.
Following the launch, we will host many activities on the Platform in order to incentivize final users to test it and provide us with their feedback and questions. Our aim stands still: give the final users the tool they have always dreamed of.
In particular, from mid-September, anyone will have the opportunity to access:
Orbit is built by Five Elements Labs, a software company developing innovative crypto products in DeFi and NFT spaces, aiming to bring Web3 to a new level of adoption and efficiency.
