Sahtyre minted his first nft over two years ago, when the tech and culture wasn’t as advanced as today, but he knew he wanted to be early because he saw an outlet for his multifaceted creativity in web3 right away.

Saht came up first as a battle rapper and grew into a multimedia artist by continuing to evolve, year after year, album after album. he brandishes the moniker @sahtyre because it symbolizes the unique, diverse character he channels through his art.

Sahtyre is a real L.A. baby. born Cassidy Howell in Long Beach and then grew up in bellflower, lived in Inglewood and South Central out to Hawthorne to the IE back to ktown and a lot of places in between.

as a teen, Sahtyre started sneaking out of the house in the middle of the night to attend the legendary open mic workshop, @ProjectBlowed. at Project Blowed he won respect from his elders by being one of the youngest rappers, at age 14, to compete and win battles there, a genuine honor considering the incredible caliber of MC ability that came through those open mics. then he switched lanes.

Sahtyre’s most recent album, “The Roaring”, garnered worldwide attention and secured a #15 debut spot on Apple Music’s Rap/Hip-Hop charts.

Sahtyre opened for @travisbarker at Emo Nite at the @TheEchoLA, displaying his guitar prowess publicly for the first time. 2 weeks later, he and his 3-man band sold out @catchonela on Pico, the hip hop venue in the neighborhood where he once lived.

Sahtyre has kept the consistency with a string of recent singles, Serpents, BAT OUTTA HELL, & Digits (co-produced by @RealLeftBrain of @ofwgkta), giving us a taste of what’s to come from one of LA’s most prominent homegrown artists.
